Okay, firstly, I'd like to apologize for this chapter coming so late. It's been a little over a year since I've updated this story and I am so terribly sorry. I couldn't think how i wanted to end this story and last night I just started writing and came up with this (admittedly short) chapter. It will be the final chapter as I want to start writing more stories and i don't like starting a new story when one is unfinished. So I hope you enjoy this horribly late final chapter of Coffee and Rented Movies. Though I will warn you, it's terribly cheesy...

Happy reading!

"Morning 'Ponine!" Courfeyrac shouted to the short brunette upon entering the cafe. She was sat at a table with Gavroche who was finishing some homework.

"Morning Courf." She returned with a smile.

"You ready Gavroche?" Courf asked placing his hand atop the messy curls on Gavroche's head.

"Almost. Let me finish this problem first." Courfeyrac, seeing this as a great opportunity to talk to Eponine alone, grabbed the small girl's hand and pulled her away from Gavroche.

"What are you doing?" Eponine asked giggling.

"I wanted to see if you would like to hang out again tonight. Maybe just sit around and watch movies. I happen to know two great babysitters to watch Gavroche." He said moving his head in the direction of Enjolras and Grantaire.

"I would love to. My place ok?"

"Perfect." He said and kissed her cheek. "Alright, Roche," Courfeyrac said leading Eponine back to the table, a clear smile on his face, "time to go."

::

Eponine sat on her couch waiting for Courf to get back. He was currently dropping Gavroche at Enjolras' flat so he and Grantaire could watch Gavroche for the night.

She didn't know why, but she had this funny feeling in her gut. What was happening between her and Courfeyrac? We're they still just friends or-

She heard the door open and stood up.

"Courf, hey. That was quick." Eponine said walking to the door.

"Yeah. Gavroche was excited to see Taire and Enjolras." Courfeyrac explained after kissing her cheek. "So, what are we watching tonight?"

"I'm not sure. I just got a bunch of random movies so pick anything."

"Hmmm," Courf said pretending to think hard about which movie to watch, "Hmm. I think...Amityville Horror!"

"Really? That one?" Eponine sighed

"Don't worry Ponine, I'll protect you." Courf teased putting his arm around her shoulder.

::

15 minutes into the movie, Courfeyrac was hiding his face in Eponines shoulder. It took all she had not to burst out laughing.

"I thought you were supposed to be protecting me." She giggled

"I am! Doesn't this make you feel safe?" Eponine laughed and got up to make some popcorn but she felt Courfeyrac's strong arms wrap themselves around her waist.

"Still scared?" she giggled

"Nope." he told her popping the 'p'

"Then will you let go? I want popcorn." She told him jokingly, which only made him pull her closer.

"Too bad. You're never leaving." he said grinning and looking at Eponine. She glanced up at him. When she saw the look he was giving her, she tried getting up again. She knew that look. It was the look Marius gave Cosette all the time. Eponine had no idea how to feel about all this and decided she needed some air.

"I'll be right back." She told Courfeyrac, finally getting up from the couch and walking out the door.

"Shit." Courfeyrac mumbled under his breath.

::

Eponine ran as fast as she could out of the door and down the hall, falling onto the stairs and placing her head in her hands. Why the hell did this all have to be so complicated? Why did she agree to go out with Courf? She wasn't even sure if she was ready to be in a relationship, especially with someone she cares about so greatly. What if it didn't work out? What if-

"Eponine!" Her thoughts were interrupted when she heard Courfeyrac's voice from down the hall. "Ep-"

When Courfeyrac saw her sitting on the steps, tears silently falling down her cheeks, he felt his heart break a little for the girl.

"Eponine." He said, softly this time, sitting next to her.

"Courf, I'm sorry for running out like that. I just-" she stopped "I just don't know…"

"Can I ask what I did?" Courfeyrac asked, confused.

"You didn't do anything wrong." She assured him, "Not purposefully, anyway."

Courfeyrac look at her again, confusion clear in his expression. Eponine sighed, "You gave me that look and I just can't…"

"You can't what, Ponine?"

"I can't let myself feel that way about you. You're my friend and that's it."

"Why can't you? There's nothing wrong with it."

"Yes, but what if something went wrong. What if we fight and end up hating each other? Can you imagine what that would do to Gavroche? To our friends?" She asked him, standing up.

He grabbed her wrist to stop her from leaving again, "So let's not fight. Let's not end up hating each other."

"I-" before Eponine could say anything, Courfeyrac pressed his lips to hers. She was shocked at first but eventually melted into the kiss and let herself be happy. She didn't worry about what would happen. She didn't think about the future cause all she cared about was now. She was kissing Courfeyrac and she was happy. And she knew that this was what she wanted.

Well...that was it! Hope it wasn't too terrible. I'm currently in the middle of writing two more Epfeyrac fics so if you enjoyed this story, look out for those. One will be a one shot and the other will hopefully be a chaptered story. I don't know for sure though. They may both end up being one shots or both being chaptered. Nevertheless, they're in the works so I'll have those up ASAP!
