Juliet came home to a house full of boxes and suitcases. She took Austin to his playroom, but it was empty.

"Shawn!" she yelled, he could hear the worry in her voice.

"In here!" He shouted back from Austin's bathroom.

She followed his voice and saw he was finishing up putting all of Austin's bath items into boxes.

"Shawn, what's going on?"

He turned to face her and saw that Austin was starting to cry; picking him up he whispered, "It's okay, little guy. We're gonna go on vacation. Does that sound fun?"

Austin peered into his eyes and sheepishly asked, "Disneyland?"

Shawn chuckled and set his son back on the ground.

"Why don't you go watch some TV while I try to get mom on board with Disneyland?

As Austin gleefully ran out of the room, Shawn turned to face his wife.

"Shawn, what's really going on?"

"We're going to the witness protection program."

"No, Shawn, we have a life here, jobs, good jobs; we can't pick up and leave, what about Austin's school? Besides we can catch this guy, you and me. Good cop, fake psychic. It's what we do." She chuckled, trying to lighten the mood.

Shawn didn't laugh with her. "Jules, I can't protect you from this guy and the cops haven't been able to touch his family for generations."

"Shawn, we – you – caught Yang, you can catch anybody."

"Look what it took to do that, Jules; she took my mom, her father almost killed Gus."

"And me."

Juliet sighed, "Shawn, we can get this guy, I know it."

"Juliet, listen to me. This guy already almost killed me and his dirty henchmen almost took our son. Until Lassiter catches him, I have to keep you and Austin safe."

Juliet sighed and glanced towards the living room where she could hear her sweet little boy giggling at the television. "Where are we going then?"

Shawn paused, considering his options; he didn't want to lie to the most important person in his life.

"Just far away is all I know right now."

He continued packing Austin's things, hopeful that his lie of omission wouldn't get him into too much trouble later on.

"Shawn, why are there two cars?" Juliet asked as the unmarked moving truck drove away, revealing two black SUVs.

"I have to make a stop at the precinct before I can follow."

Juliet frowned, "We can go with you-"

"No, no, sweetheart; you and Austin go ahead, I won't be here very long."

Shawn watched as the two most important people in his life got into an SUV. He sighed and pulled his phone out of his pocket.

"Gus, they're gone and I don't know if I'll ever see them again."

Wow, so I came back to give this story a facelift and I seriously considered extending it, but I'm just not sure since both of the shows are off the air. If you absolutely want more story, though, please let me know and I will totally write more. Other than that, thank you to everyone who wrote reviews and followed/favorited the story, feedback is always appreciated.
