Chap. 16

Lucy P.O.V

"Welcome one and all to the Grand magic games. Today will be action-packed, there will be magical battles that will rock your world," the announcer said.

The crowd cheered loudly and excitedly since they weren't the ones that were going to get injure or hurt. I shook my head even though a smile was evident on my face.

"We have a guest judge today. It is Mest from the magic council. He is hoping to see some good action today. Well let us get down to business. Today we will finish the battles from yesterday and have a new game. The first battle will be Dragon's Revenge Team B Star and Blue Pegasus's Minerva!" They crowd cheered and then frowned. They thought Minerva would win. Star might be an Exceed but she is mine so that make her strong.

I smirked and leaned back to watch the show unfold. Fairy Tail was trying hard to control their laughter but you could obviously tell. Star was getting mad at the support she isn't going. Even Minerva had a smug look on her face thinking she would win.

"Show them who is boss Star!" Lyria said. She had been the one who healed me nearly three years ago. Star nodded and smiled. Star flew to the arena ready to attack.

"Begin!" Mato simply stood around the corner since he didn't expect much destruction. Minerva shot her magic but Star just reflected back magic at Minerva. Minerva simply dodged.

"My turn… Water Dragon slaying magic: Water spiral!" The attack took place in her hands and head straight for Minerva who dodged also. Minerva was about to attack again but Star used her teleportation magic and appeared behind Minerva and shot shadow magic into her.

Minerva was so surprised she couldn't dodge it. This continued for a while. Mato left when he finally realized that this was going to be a dangerous battle.

It was a mixture of continue dodging and attacking, and every once in a while a hit. You could tell Star was just playing around with her. Then Star disappeared and kept appearing in random parts of the field.

"Don't play games with me, cat!"

"Actually, I'm an Exceed. Cats don't have magical powers. You need to learn more science. Besides don't you usually play games with those you fight? If I remember correctly which I always do, you played around with Lucy when she was unable to fight back. I guess I should do that to you,"

Minerva smirked so you knew something was up. Star saw this and stopped teleporting. Minerva took that chance to attack her. It hit her but she shrugged it off like it was nothing. I smiled.

"Five minutes!" Mato yelled. Star frowned but decided to shoot Minerva with water magic. Minerva who was well prepared dodged barely. You could see how tired she was. Star decided to teleport quickly while sending random attacks to Minerva. Then with less than a minute left, Star appeared begin Minerva and shot shadow magic into her back. Minerva's eyes opened wide in shock and the she collapsed.

It was quiet for a while and then, the crowd erupted. Star came and gave me a high five. Then she went to celebrate with her Exceed buddies.

"The next battle will be Dragon's revenge Team B's Telly and Elves Unite's Jakon."

Telly was Temra's exceed. Jakon was calm. I decided to read his mind to see what was going on since he really should be pale especially when, Minerva was stronger than him and she got defeated by Star. It turns out he believed that only one of the Exceeds were strong but they all were. Every single one has at least one dragon slaying-magic. Mine have ten while Telly has five.

Telly flew of to the ring with him computer with him. The crowd was confused considering it can only be found in the dimension called Earth.

Jakon went first since Telly simply was flying with his face buried in his computer.

"Memory Make: Fallen Stars!"

The attack reflected right back at him which he didn't expect. The crowd gasped not expecting Rufus the great to be attacked so easily.

"That was an appalling move you just completed. You of all people should be on familiar terms with this. It is clear that attacking first will put you at a disadvantage and it will affect the rest of you future moves. It can be demonstrated scientifically. Now I shall attack you with a new manner of attack, and listen to me when I say this, it is inefficient to struggle against it.

Brain Magic: Invasion…"

Suddenly Jakon grabbed his head and gasped. He was fighting Telly's special brain magic in which his mind is being invaded. He will probably feel like his brain is bursting but Telly is really gathering information on him and making him feel pain that wasn't real. Then Jakon stopped clutching his head while Telly was busy importing all the information unto his computer.

Jakon was too tired to actually attack Telly. Telly had barely any time left so he gave Jakon one last attack. He put his computer away and landed on the ground.

"Roar of the Lightening Dragon," Telly said. A whirlwind of lightening attacked Jakon. You could tell he wasn't attacking as hard he could. Jakon was knocked unconscious.

The other battles we didn't really pay attention to because we were currently in the lead tied with Dragon's Revenge Team B. Sabor-Tooth were in second place. Fairy Tail team B was in third because they won both but they hadn't done well in the elimination round. Fairy Team A was right after them. After those two were Elves Unite who was a couple points behind them. At the very bottom was Blue Pegasus. They had lost both their battles.

The battles didn't take much time and they weren't entertaining. I had gotten hungry so I left for a while to get some ice cream. I had only gotten it for myself though. Then they finally decided to announce the next part after Rogue beat some guy from Kindled Spirits.
