Why Can't We Redo The Moments We Miss
March 18, 2016
Wally and Artemis's hands were linked together. They just got into IHOP. They come here a lot on weekends because they're sometimes too lazy to cook breakfast in the morning.
Wally tightens his grip around Artemis's hand as he kissed the side of her forehead. She's smiling a lot because this was their normal routine. It's kind of weird how they've done this since they came here to college together.
They're both finally sitting in a booth. Their normal orders would be pancakes, but Wally would sometimes order a lot more. These weren't one of those days. Wally gives the laminated menus back to the waitress.
Artemis sighs weakly as she looks straight through his emerald eyes, "Wally, don't worry."
"How could I not worry, Babe?"
She tilts her head a little, "Are you doubting me?"
"No-Noo," Wally made sure they wouldn't have any arguments today. Artemis was leaving for her undercover mission tomorrow morning so this might be his last morning routine breakfast with her in IHOP.
Their food finally came and Wally was already putting all his syrup on his pancakes. Yeah, Wally brings his own syrup in IHOP. Artemis still thinks it's kind of weird that he sneaks it in her purse, so he could use it for his pancakes. He knows it drives her crazy when they both know that there are free ones in the restaurant.
She laughs a little because she thinks he puts too much syrup on his pancakes, "It's going to overflow. You know that right?"
Wally has a smile on while he's still pouring it, "No it's not!"
Artemis is still laughing because the syrup already got on the table and it's about to touch a little of Wally's shirt. The gingered speedster finally looks down, "Awe man!"
The blond archer smirks, "I told you so."
Wally smiles at her. He sometimes thinks it's annoying when she says those 4 annoying words, but it just meant that she's still his baywatch. In a good way this time.
Artemis's already by his side trying to help him clean the little mess he made. Wally sees his opportunity and then kisses her on the lips, "I love you, Babe."
"I love you, too."
Normal as usual.

Artemis is sitting alone. She's back in her special booth that her and Wally had proclaimed was theirs. She tried her best not to start crying randomly in IHOP, but sometimes you just can't help it. Artemis was strong though.
She didn't feel hungry at all, but one of the waitress puts a stack of pancakes on her table. She raises an eyebrow, "Marley, I didn't order anything."
She smiles, "I know, but your big eating boyfriend told me a long time ago to give you this if you ever come back."
The blond Vietnamese looks down at the pancakes. She felt her heart ache, "Thanks for remembering, Marley."
She left Artemis by herself in the booth, "No problem deary."
The pancakes were formed into an 'I', a shaped heart, a 'U', and it spelled 'Arty' on the bottom. It reminded her a lot of Wally because it would be something he would do.
She misses him so much.
