Chapter 9

When I get you Alone

"Really Sirius! You Didn't!"

"What?." I replied confusedly, then realizing he must have talked to reg, and said glumly, "Oh that. you talked to Regulus?"

He nodded and I signed, leaning back in my seat, and adjusting the mirror, showing the face of James Potter. "Yeah I did, And now he hates me."

"Well as much as I agree with Reg, it is kinda funny." He admitted, a smile crossing his handsome face. "I think Regulus was probably more worried about losing Anastasia way."

"Hmm, I didn't think about that." Honestly, I wasn't thinking at all that night. I was pretty buzzed, and just dropped them off in Regulus's room, then went to bed. I guess I had thought it might be funny, but I wasn't that focused on it.

"Well it's not like you would anyways."

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"Sirius."

"What!"

He fixed me with a piercing look. "Well you're not always the most considerate."

I gasped, pretending to be affronted. "How dare you James Potter!"

"Not all the time! Just sometimes."

I shrugged. "I guess you're right. But Reg is still REALLY pissed." I sighed, slumping over my desk.

"He'll come around, just give him some time, and let Ana talk to him. You said she forgave you right?"

I nodded.

"Then leave him be and wait." James advised, leaning back on his bed and stretching.

"Alright." I agreed, packing my head up off the desk, and straightening up. "So, what are you doing today?"

"Nothing." He shrugged. "My parents just left for this benefit thing."

Mr. Potter was the minister of magic, and Mrs. Potter ran a bunch of charities. So they were always attending all sorts of benefits and balls. It bummed James out a lot, because it really cut down on the time he got to spend with his parents.

"Anyways," James continued, "I was "strongly" advised to make an appearance, but I don't have to go till six. What are you doing?"

"Nothing."

"Wanna come over?"

I knew, just by the look in his eye, exactly what he had in mind. I definitely wasn't about to say no.

"Sure. I'll be over in fifteen minutes, ok?"

"Ok, see you then. Bye."

"Bye."

I set down the mirror, and got up, stretching. As much as I wanted to run into

Regulus's room right now, and convince him to stop hating me, I knew James was right. Reg needed time to cool down, or it would just be longer before he forgave me.

Grabbing a towel off the floor, I took a quick shower, and threw on a pair of jeans and a black T-shirt. Deciding to apparate, I exited my room, briefly stopping in front of the mirror the fix my hair. I continued on my way, taking a different stair case to avoid passing Regulus's room. I had made it all the way to the front hall when I was stopped by a voice behind me.

"Where are you going?" My father's silky voice floated to me from the kitchen doorway.

"A friend's, I won't be back till late."

As he didn't reply, I took that as an ok to leave, and opened the front door, closing it behind me. Once I was in the yard, and able to apparate, I cast a brief look around for muggles, then turned on the spot, into the crushing black darkness.

A few seconds later, I appeared in front of Potter Manor. I walked up the clad-iron gates, which opened at my touch. James had keyed me into the wards in the summer before fifth year. Striding past the fountains, and flower gardens, I walked up to the two spry double door. Pushing it open, I walked into the entrance hall. After taking off my shoes, and placing them in the shoe closet next to the door, I went up the grand staircase, and eventually made it to the third floor, where James's room was.

I pushed the door open to find James laying on his king bed, catching and releasing his lucky golden snitch.

"Knock knock."

The dark haired boy looked up, a grin spreading over his face. James jumped up, and ran over. He collided with me, his lips connecting with mine.

Not ready for the impact, failed to stay on my feet, which of course resulted in us both toppling to the floor. Laughing, we broke apart, and James jumped up, offering a hand to pull me up.

Taking it, I allowed him to pull me up, grumbling about over enthusiastic hellos.

"Sorry Siri. I just really missed you!" He blurted out, his smile growing larger every second.

"More like your horny, I just saw you less than twenty minutes."

"Not in person!"

"Still!"

"Are you really complaining about me wanting to see you?" James pointed out, smirking.

I paused, realizing what I was saying. "Ok never mind."

"Good, because we have more fun things to do then talk about if I'm horny."

"So you admit it?"

"Shut up and kiss me."

I wasn't about to argue with that.

"What time is it?"

"5:59."

"Shit!"

James jumped out of the bed, grabbing his pants, and rushing into the bathroom to get ready. Slowly, I got up too. I was pulling my shirt on when James popped his head out of the bathroom, toothbrush dangling from his mouth.

"Wanna come?" He asked, continuing to scrub his perfect teeth.

"What?" I asked not quite comprehending what he had asked.

"Wanna come to the benefit with me?" He clarified, pulling his head back to wash out his mouth.

While, why the hell not?

"Sure."

"Then hurry up."

Standing up, I walked over to the closet, and grabbed the dress robes I left here few nights ago, know I was thankful I had forgotten them. Pulling on the robes baring the black family crest, I joined James in the bathroom. He was trying, and failing, to tame his hair.

"Your fighting a lost cause, Jamie." I told him, grabbing a comb, and running it through my black hair, that fell just above my shoulders. "Leave it. It looks good." I pulled my hair back into a braid. James was still fussing over his untamable hair. Rolling my eyes, I pushed him down on his knees.

"Sirius we don't have time."

I rolled my eyes again. "Shut up."

I ran my hands threw his hair, smoothing it down. Pulling out my wand, I cast a temporary sticking charm on it, to keep it on place.

"It'll stay now. You're welcome."

Allowing him to stand up, he gave me a swift kiss.

"Thanks love."

"No problem. Now let's go."

"How long do we have?" James asked, straightening his robes.

"We were supposed to be there five minute ago."

"Then I guess we'll have to settle for being fashionably late." He grinned, taking my hand and leading me out of the room.

"Are you sure your parents are ok with me coming?" I asked hesitantly, following my lover back down the grand stair case.

"Of course, Siri. They love you, and anyways, if I'm happy, they're happy. And I'm always happy when your around." He winked, squeezing my hand.

Running, out the door, we passed through the wards.

"Ready?"

"Ready."

Squeezing his hand tight, we turned on the spot.

"That wasn't so bad was." I commented, as James and I walked back up to his room. The benefit had lasted till 10, and we had just gotten back to James's. I was spending the night, which I could still do as the Potters, nor anyone, else knew about Me and James.

"Definitely better than the dragon pox one." James agreed. "That one was just depressing."

Ten minutes later, we were snuggled up in bed, ready for some rest.

"I love you, James Charlus Potter." I whispered in my raven haired lover's ear, hugging him tightly.

"I love you too, Sirius Orion Black."
