A/N: My plot bunny is fed by reviews, and if you don't feed him then he insists on forcing me to write fanfiction in which Four from Divergent is dressed in a lacy petticoat.
Well, this idea just came to me in the middle of the night, and I'm not sure why.
This is set after Martha, before Donna, if that makes any sense.
I don't work for BBC, and I'm not John Green... Am I? *glances down at self* Nope. Still FP. Therefore I don't own this.
Hazel Grace Lancaster was sitting out by the final resting place of Augustus Waters, the stupid French Flag still in the ground like it had been placed there yesterday, when in fact that had been two months ago.
Hazel hadn't moved on, not really. Sure, she was dating Issac, and they'd made plans to get married (Course, they couldn't be guaranteed a wedding, but it never hurt to dream.) but Issac knew and she knew that her heart belonged to Augustus Waters.
Her thoughts, once so transparent to the world around her but now were heavily guarded by a blank expression and closed eyes, were interrupted by a whirring, vworp-like noise. She turned around to spot a large blue box appearing in front of her.
"Well, well, Hazel Grace." A man in a brown suit and a strangely patterned tie stepped out of the box, his brown hair sticking up in random directions.
"Who are you?"
"I'm the Doctor."
"Where are you from? I can tell it's not from America."
"You wouldn't believe me if I told you."
"You'd be surprised. I've been feeling inclined to believe everything as of late."
"Never heard of it. Is it nice there? Can you take me?"
"It was once." He closed his eyes, sitting down next to her.
And The Doctor told her everything. He told her about the Time War, about Rose and Martha and Sarah Jane and the Daleks and the Slitheen... Everything.
"You witnessed the destruction of your planet? I'm surprised you're almost sane."
"Almost?" The Doctor raised his eyebrows questioningly, the same silly grin on his face.
"Well, we're all mad. Some of us are almost sane, some of us are completely mad. You're almost sane, it seems."
"I suppose I am." He laughed, smiling at her.
"Doctor Who?" She looked at him, almost confused.
"Just The Doctor."
"Well, Just The Doctor, I don't guess you can bring Augustus back?" Hazel gestured to the stone and grave in front of her, her eyes filling with tears as she said the name.
"Fixed points in time. I'm so, so sorry. You loved him?" Hazel nodded quietly.
"We all did. I don't want to live without him. It's okay, though. You can't bring him back. I understand that. It'd change the course of history, wouldn't it?"
"Yes. I mean, me dancing with Madame de Pompadour wasn't a major change in history-"
"You danced with Madame de Pompadour?"
"And snogged her."
"That was forever ago!"
"I told you, I'm a Time Lord. I can do that sort of thing."
"Oh, can you take me with you?" Hazel's eyes shone happily, perhaps wanting to get away from the world in which her love was buried in.
"One trip. Where do you want to go? I've got all of time and space, and you can be back by tomorrow morning."
"Can you take me to another planet?"
"Of course! Which one?"
"Any one you want." The Doctor smiled at her, standing up and extending his hand.
"Come with me, Hazel Grace."
"Of course, Doctor." She took the offered hand, the two walking toward the blue police box as it vanished into thin air, with a whirr and a vworp.
A/N: I seriously don't know anymore. Reviews are very much appreciated! And I highly doubt I got both Ten and Hazel in character, sooo... Yeah.
Feed mai plot bunny if you can! Pleeease...? And none of my works are Beta'd... Probably should've mentioned that in the bio... Oh well.
Until next time,
