Greetings, readers. It's been a while since I've updated. I apologize, but my schedule has been tight lately, and I seem to be running out of inspiration for this story. It is unlikely there will be any more chapters after this. It seems Follow Me to the Stars has come to end.

...

I stare blankly into the distance, not really focusing on anything. Foxpaw sits beside me, his tail curled protectively around my own. There is no sound; just pure, unbroken silence as we gazed, completely content just being together.

Everything is temporary, however, and Foxpaw eventually breaks the tranquility with a sigh. "Where does this path lead us?"

I lean against him, giving my own sigh. "I don't know, Foxpaw. I just don't know. Hopefully somewhere safe."

Foxpaw looks at me, smiling softly. His eyes glitter brightly in the starlight. "You've changed a lot since we first met."

I lick his cheek fondly. "You must be a good influence on me, then."

"Hmmm. Maybe so."

It's silent again, until a soft mew startles us out of our thoughts. "Tinnnny-pah? Folx-pah?"

We both turn to stare at the little kit before us. Onekit blinks his single eye up at us, looking sheepish.

"Sorry," he mumbles. "I..I cant sleep."

Foxpaw and I share a look before we both walk over to the small kit. I lick his ear. "Bad dreams again?"

Onekit shrugs. "I didn't wanna wake Momma."

I cuddle the small kitten close to me, laying down beside him. He snuggles into my fur, yawning sleepily.

"Can I stay here?" he asks, blinking up at me. I nod, not having the heart to tell him no.

"Of course," I whisper, and Onekit promptly shuts his eye, relaxing against me.

When he's sure the kit is asleep, Foxpaw frowns at me. "He's getting a little old for this, don't you think?"

I narrow my eyes. "Hush, you. He can't help it. He always gets nightmares."

"I know," Foxpaw says. "I know. There isn't much we can do, though."

"He tells me about them, " I whimper unhappily. "He tells me about the dreams. He sees things in them sometimes. Horrible things. Cats soaked in blood, Cloudeyes being tortured, his siblings be torn apart by crows...but mostly, Foxpaw, he sees eyes."

"Eyes?" Foxpaw continues to frown at me. "My vixen, tell me, what does this all mean?"

I bow my head in defeat. "Foxpaw, I think they're Clawstar's eyes. I think Onekit has something to do with the prophecy. His siblings, too, maybe."

Foxpaw lays down beside. I lean into him.

"It doesn't matter, my love," he says. "We've survived this long, we'll survive again. I will stay with you no matter what, and you know that. I would follow you to the stars if I had to, just to be with you. I love you, and that is enough."

"You'd follow me to the stars?" I whisper, sending him a small smile. I blink away tears. "That's sweet. Cheesy, but sweet. I love you, too, you know?"

"I know, " Foxpaw says. He nuzzles me. "I know."

We cuddle close, mindful of the small kit between us, and our eyes close. As I drift off to sleep, I am well aware of the red-furred tom beside me, who loves me despite my faults and despite my problems, and who I am deeply, deeply in love with.

I am not aware, however, of the life growing inside of me, and the danger that is about to come.

This is the only possible conclusion my brain decided to give me. The entire plot has seem to have completely died on me, and I don't know when it will resurrect. There willbe a sequel, but again, I don't know when the plot will decide to show up. -_-

I apologize again for everything.
