Hello everyone! It's been a while! New chapter is here! :D BTW, could anyone take the poll on my page? I need a pairing for this story! And sorry in advance if the characters are OOC. Just pretend that they are supposed to be that way, K?

Danny rubbed his neck, looking sadly at the ground. He had finally found out exactly what the scientists here were using him for. He had considered that they were trying to find out more about ghosts, or ghost hybrids. But they were actually trying to use him as a weapon. A weapon. He seemed to be glaring at the floor in front of him, but it was meant for those people.

He had tried his hardest to save them from all the ghosts, getting bashed into walls, thrown into building, and cut up by all the creature's weapons. And THIS was how he was being repaid? To be turned into the exact thing he did not want to be? He sighed, resting his back against the cold wall. Danny knew that the doors opened at exactly the same time each morning, and that was going to be in about ten minutes.

He could still remember the day he was captured, as if it were yesterday. Danny had been walked home from school with Sam, for Tucker had had a doctor's appointment. (Hopefully he had survived.) Sam and himself had been laughing about some joke she had told, when a couple people had jumped out at them. One knocked Sam out quickly with a sedative, and left her lying on the ground. Danny had watched with horror, before snapping back into attention and sloppily punching at one of the men. They had simply grabbed his wrist, and stuck a needle into his arm. The next thing he knew, he was here.

Danny ran a hand over his face and looked up lazily as the door opened. The lead scientist walked in confidently, smirking at him. Danny flinched at her look. That could not be good. She had a small briefcase in her hand, and she placed it on the small counter near the door.

"Hello, little pet." she said, "I have some new toys for you today." Danny's gaze had never left the small briefcase on the table. Before he could realize his mistake, he had already been slapped.

"Look at me when I'm talking!" she yelled, making Danny flinch from both pain and fear. He looked up at her, only to be hit again. "Don't look into my eyes!" He watched her mouth, slightly trembling. He did NOT want to get a worse punishment. He saw her lips curl into a small smirk, then she opened the briefcase.

"We have a new weapon for you to try out." She said, slowly running her finger on whatever was in the case. She lifted up the 'toy.' It was a small gun, about the size of a thumb. It was a light silver, with a bright red line decorating it's sides. Danny frowned. He knew that everything here was dangerous, but that little thing? It probably couldn't even fit a bullet.

The lead scientist saw his look and grinned. "Oh, this thing is a new version of last week's prototype. Remember it?" Danny's face paled. Of course her remembered. The larger version of this one. He mentally face-palmed. How hadn't he noticed?

"This time, pet, it will electrocute AND cause unconsciousness!" she said cheerfully. Danny shuddered. Wow. That is so amazing! Not.

She grabbed his leash from the briefcase, and attached it to his collar, still smiling. She dragged him to his feet, and lead him back to the horrible simulation room. Danny knew better then to struggle, like he did on the first day. That 'escape attempt' had given him a large bruise on the side of his face for a couple days. It took less time to heal due to his ghost half.

The lead scientist pushed him forcefully into the large white room, and closed the door. Danny saw from the corner of his eye, her placing the tiny gun into a little slot. She pushed it in as if it were a drawer, and it came out through a small opening in the side of them room, attached to a metal arm. A dot glowed red on the side of the gun for a few moments, before turning green and swinging into motion. Danny transformed and jumped nimbly out of the way as a red ray was shot out at him.

Danny avoided the rays coming at him, twisting around them and creating ghost shields. He couldn't destroy the gun, for it would make the scientists very upset. He did not want that. Danny knew that he had to let a ray hit him soon, or he would get in a lot of trouble. He shakily floated in place, waiting for the hit. The ray flew out of the small gun, and blasted him squarely in the chest.

Danny cried out, tumbling back a few feet. He saw stars in his vision, and could almost see the electricity flying up his arms. He choked out a cry, before descending towards the ground. Everything was blurring around him. He saw the door opening before he passed out.

Starfire was confused.

She hadn't seen another being for a week, and she was getting restless. She was being fed, of course, but the food always came through a small slot on the wall. The humans never showed themselves. Maybe this was another test of science? She didn't understand how it could help these people.

So far, everything Danny had told her seemed a little ridiculous. Why didn't he have a choice? He could do whatever he wanted to! Just like she could.

Starfire growled and let her hands glow with green energy. She gave a yell and shot it towards the door, for what was the twentieth time that day. Her eyes dimmed from their bright green when she saw it just bounced off, without any damage. She sighed and reached a hand into her pocket, and pulled out her communicator. It seemed like a good time to use it. Starfire hadn't tried to contact the team before, since Robin had once told her that sometimes people have machines that can sense these kinds of things.

She pressed the button, and waited a few moments. Then Robin's face appeared on the screen.

"Star?!" he shouted, looking seriously at her. But she could tell he was happy to see her. "Where are you?! We have been trying to contact you for two weeks!"

"I know, Robin." Starfire said, looking around the room. "I have been captured by a few 'scientists' and I am in a lab. They have not done anything to me yet, but there are many powered-humans and creatures here. They have been caught as well."

"We'll find you Star, and see what we can do. -Cyborg? What is her location?- Okay, we're coming. It will take a few days to get there."

"Thank you Robin!" Starfire exclaimed, smiling for the first time in a week. They were coming.
