"There they are!" A Capitol news reporter squealed as the Teslas walked through the gates into the back garden of the Presidential Mansion. "The Victor Inventor couple from District Three! And they both look so beautiful!" Shoving the microphone in the couple's faces, she laughed. "What an honor for you to have your reception in the Presidential Mansion! How do you feel about that, Mr. Tesla?"

"Give me a moment." Beetee said before pulling Wiress into a kiss as the crowd cheered. "Well, it's an honor of course, and I'm flattered by his generosity!"

"Thank you, Mr. Tesla." A deep voice said as the crowd instantly parted. The reporter fell silent and trembled as she moved aside for President Snow to greet the Teslas. "Mr. Tesla, and his bride." Beetee shook President Snow's hand in a firm grip. "What an honor indeed. You have lived a simple unbothered life as you helped your bride regain her health to invent. Such a nice young man." Wiress smiled and held Beetee's arm in an iron grip.

"Mrs. Wiress Tesla, the wedding you would've had in District Three pales in comparison, wouldn't you say?"

"Yes, but I know my Beetee –" She smiled at her husband. "Beetee would make it shine."

"Of course." President Snow said leering at her slightly. "Yes, we gave you the wedding you would have had if you married a citizen of the Capitol." Kevius. Wiress's mind filled in the blank. "How does the Capitol life lived out as a Victor suit you, Mrs. Tesla?"

"My Beetee and I – we will enjoy our house in Victor's Village and inventing there." Wiress answered smiling. "And – And I will think of this wedding when I return –"

"For the Games." President Snow said smiling. "I am sure after this wedding, you will not be lacking in sponsors. May the odds be in District Three's favor."

"Thank you, sir." Beetee replied simply. Wiress willed herself to smile and hold herself confidently and upright as she entered the reception. A smile played at her lips knowing President Snow had meant to intimidate her, but she could fight it. President Snow could never intimdate her with Beetee by her side.

"Beetee!" Wiress' excited voice brought Beetee out of his thoughts wondering how the Capitol and President Snow expected them to repay their generosity. "Beetee! Our cake!"

"Wow!" Beetee gasped. The cake was frosted with dark green buttercream with circuit-board patterns outlined in chocolate icing. The top was a flexible light shaped in a connected B and W. It was powered by a capacitor the inventors knew was in the cake.

"Someone requested a chocolate marble cake." The pastry chef chuckled smiling at Wiress.

"Oh – beautiful!" Wiress gasped. The crowd cheered as Beetee and Wiress grasped hands around a pastry knife. "Now, don't cut –"

"The capacitor is right under the fondant on top. You'll be fine." The chef replied as the Teslas cut their slices of wedding cake. The crowd counted to three before Wiress fed her piece to Beetee and he allowed Wiress to nibble off her slice.

"WIRESS! WHAT THE WIRES!" Beetee yelped as chocolate icing was spread by a small finger over his glasses. The crowd laughed along with Wiress. Beetee laughed and kissed Wiress as he wiped his glasses on a napkin. "Come here, you!" He kissed her long and hard before they walked out to the dance floor and danced to the first song of the evening.

"My love, I am so lucky –" Wiress whispered letting the Capitol music and glitz fade into the background as she stared into Beetee's love-filled eyes. "I am yours –"

"Forever." Beetee finished as he held his beautiful bride in his arms. "Wiress, I am yours forever." They kissed knowing that their love was deep, powerful, and so much more real than the Capitol glamour and show around them. They knew they would fight for freedom alongside and for each other for the rest of their lives.
