Time for some more fun! Thanks to Katy for being the best beta in existence!
On with the show:
Jack was excited. He had taken his sisters advice and planned the perfect getaway for him and Sam.
He that if he tried to plan it with her, she would have found a million reasons why they shouldn't go. So for once, he didn't rely on her for research or planning, he just did it. He checked her schedule several times and made sure that she was free. He made sure that Molly had back up. Jo, Jarrod, Janet, Cassie, Daniel, Chuck and Teal'c were now all on speed dial, and each of them was taking a turn going over for a least an hour or so each day so that Molly could get a break.
He had even gone shopping for that new black bikini and, thanks to Jane and Janet, he bought a few other necessities as well. Well, basically he asked them to pick it all out, and he paid for it. It is the thought that counts!
General Hammond was aware of all plans, and there was a helicopter and a jet on standby just in case either of them was needed back at SGC. He refused to pack Sam's laptop, but he did put in their satellite phones and one of her hybrid super-tablets. They needed to be at the airport by eighteen hundred and time was like molasses in the winter.
At fourteen hundred he checked in with Sam's new assistant, Major Jennifer Healey, to make sure that she had everything covered.
"Are you ready?" he asked Sam as he entered her office in his civvies.
"Ready for what dear?" she asked with her nose still buried in her laptop. Jack turned and winked at Jennifer and she entered the lab with a note from General Hammond.
"Thanks Jen," said Sam absentmindedly as she took the note. "Ready for what Jack?" she asked again. Then she read the note.
"What is this?" she asked no one in particular.
"V-A-C-A-T-I-O-N," spelled out her waiting fiancé. "We are taking an extra-long weekend, and going away."
"What?" she asked again. "But… it's only Tuesday…" she tried.
"Everything is already taken care of ma'am," said Major Healey. "You have your satellite phone and tablet in case of emergencies, but I am hoping the Goa'uld take the weekend off. No missions are scheduled for any of the science teams, and I will keep a close eye on Dr. Feldger. Area 51 has been ordered to only work on level 1 material. We're all rooting for you ma'am," she said with a smile.
"But what about Gracie," she asked in shock.
Jack took her hand and started to lead her out the door. "Thank you for closing down for us Healey," he said with a sloppy salute, then turned to Sam. "Molly has it completely under control and will have visitors every day to help her out. You are even already packed. Again, thanks to Molly. She and Gracie are meeting us at the airport for dinner, and we are flying out at twenty-one hundred."
"Jack," she said amazement, "Where are we going?"
He just smiled and gave her a kiss. "My secret. It's on a need to know basis." He leaned in and whispered with a smile. "I was Black Ops, remember? I got this."
She continued to look a bit lost as he buckled her into the truck and drove to the airport.
They met Grace and Molly at a restaurant inside the terminal to have dinner and say their goodbyes.
"Bye bye Mommy, bye bye Daddy," said Grace with a big wet kiss to each of her parents.
"Have fun you two," said Molly as she waved them off to their gate.
Sam smirked with satisfaction as she and Jack took their first class seats. "We're going to Miami."
"But are we staying there?" he asked with a big grin.
"We're not staying in Miami?" she asked now not so satisfied, but still excited.
Jack mimed zipping his lips and throwing away the key.
In retaliation Sam pulled him to her and kissed him deeply so his mouth was certain to open. "There, now where are we going?" she asked.
"Wow! Do that again," he said with a smirk as he reached for her.
She put her hands out to ward him off. "Nope, not until you at least give me a hint."
"Hint for another kiss like that," he said pretending to think. "Ok," he grinned evilly. "Because I know you so well, I actually prepared several hints to keep that brain of yours occupied. Kiss first," he insisted.
With a deep sigh as if it was the last thing she wanted to do, Sam reached over and grabbed Jack by the back of the neck and kissed him deeply.
"Completely worth it," he said with a wide grin as he dropped a small kiss on her lips. "First clue: We will be surrounded by water."
Sam looked at him and then smiled. She only had to deduce what islands were within a comfortable distance from Miami, where they would not spend an unreasonable amount of time traveling and still enjoy their vacation. Jack would want to make sure that travel was not a hassle. Why frustrate the person you are trying to convince to relax.
Over the next several hours of their flight Sam persuaded more clues out of Jack.
The second: All their meals and drinks were included in their package.
The third: As soon as she saw the name of the place she was going to laugh. (That was a tough one.)
And last: This vacation was designed so that they would do as little thinking as possible. If all they wanted to do was sit in a chair under the sun the entire time, that is what they would do.
That night they checked into the Crown Plaza Miami, and went down to the bar for a drink. Before bed Sam searched through her suitcase to find, not just a few pieces, but a bunch of new clothes. The big surprise were the four bathing suits: a black string bikini, a bright blue halter tankini, a sensible one piece, and the last was a very flashy one piece that was strictly for sitting out and looking good. Each had a matching sarong and sandals.
"So how did we do?" he asked as she inspected the contents of her suitcase.
"Wow," she said in awe. "I love the dresses and the suits. You did a great job," she looked around a bit more. "I was certain I would find some lingerie."
"You can get some tomorrow if you want. I didn't want to seem completely selfish. I thought the bathing suits were enough."
She gave him another kiss. "I would actually prefer it if we just slept in the nude," she said with a sly grin.
"I love your train of thought," he added with another not so short kiss.
The next day they walked around a bit and then boarded another plane; this one to Paradise Island in the Bahamas.
"The Bahamas?" she questioned. "How would that make me laugh?"
"We're not there yet, are we," he said smugly.
The flight was quick and soon they were getting into a limousine for the short trip to their hotel.
"Wow, a limo. I must have really needed a vacation," she teased.
"Only the best," he said with a smug grin. "Really though, I just didn't want you to be able to guess yet and the hotel shuttle would have been a dead giveaway."
He happily kept her occupied the short trip across the island. Before the limo stopped he slipped a blindfold on her, which he also promised would have other uses during their vacation.
Jack helped her out of the car. "Ready?" he asked and then removed her blindfold.
The first thing she did was laugh. "Oh, you were so right, this is funny."
They were staying at the Atlantis.
"I figured, why go all the way to the Pegasus Galaxy when we have our own Atlantis right here. Plus, this one has water slides and you can swim with sharks!"
"It's wonderful!" she gushed and then gave him a big hug and a kiss.
"They have a spa," she said with a sigh as they walked into the lobby. "Do you think I could make a last minute appointment?"
"Already done," said a radiant Jack, obviously very proud that his choice was a big success. "You have a half day package scheduled for this afternoon. You can also schedule more for whenever you want."
"Jack, you spoil me," she said with a sigh as she leaned her head on his shoulder.
He turned and dropped a kiss on her hair. "After what we just went through, you deserve it."
"But what about you?" she asked. "Don't you want to spend some time at the spa?"
"You're kidding right?" he choked out. "While you're at the spa I am going deep sea fishing."
"This place is perfect!" she exclaimed. "I can spend my days reading and getting pampered and you can go have fun with large smelly fish!" she said with a heartfelt laugh.
"As long as part of your relaxing time includes hitting the water slides with me, I am ok with that arrangement. Why do you think one of those new suits is a one piece?"
"My modesty?" she asked.
"Yes, because I don't want you losing your top on the water slides," and then he leaned over and whispered so the bell boy couldn't hear. "Mine are the only pair of eyes lucky enough to see that perfect rack of yours."
"Jack!" she exclaimed both in reaction to his silly comment and the fact that he had picked her up and was carrying her across the threshold.
"I'm old fashioned," he said with a cocky grin as he handed the bellboy his tip, still carrying his fiancé bridal style.
Their tower suite had a great view of the ocean and a beautiful bedroom with a king sized bed big enough to get lost in.
"Why does this king bed look bigger than ours at home?" she asked.
"Because our fifteen month old daughter is not trying to use it as a trampoline," he joked. "Seriously though, I think it also may be that there aren't stacks of books surrounding it."
"Jack, I told you I thought we needed more bookcases. We are both book-a-holics. Since we've combined our houses we need to either get rid of some, or build a library."
"I'll build a library," he said in all seriousness.
"When, in between your next missions?" she teased.
"Fine, I'll hire someone," he conceded. "Now, let's get changed, go have some lunch and then you have an appointment at the spa and I am going fishing!"
"You sound like you needed this vacation as much as I did," she laughed.
"You're probably right," he said as he lifted their suitcases onto the racks and began to unpack.
Sam started rifling through hers and pulled out one of her new sundresses. "I want do some souvenir shopping before we leave." She lifted up the dress to admire it. "I want to send Jane and Janet thank you gifts, and of course get something for everyone else."
By the end of the day, Sam felt like a new woman. She had been massaged, soaked, spritzed, steamed and massaged again. Between that and the lovely glasses of ice-cold water to rehydrate and the delicious glasses of wine to relax, she was ready for a nap. Jack was going to be out for another hour so she decided to go and do just that. Take a nap. Not on Gracie's schedule, or because she was so exhausted she couldn't see straight, but just because she wanted to.
When she got to their room, she changed into her fashionable suit, sarong and sandals. Then she headed to the gift shop and bought some big sparkly sunglasses, a wide brimmed floppy hat and a horribly trashy novel. She then proceeded to make herself comfortable by the adult's only pool. She almost giggled when a hunky young waiter came up to her and offered to go get her a late-afternoon cocktail.
Lazily she dozed in and out, enjoying several burnt cherry rum sangrias and her mindless novel.
She was awoken by someone splashing into the pool but didn't bother opening her eyes. Let them have their silly fun, she didn't feel like moving.
A minute later she was disturbed by someone dripping directly over her. She opened her eyes just a slit so that she could see the offender. Of course it was her foolish fiancé. She relaxed a bit more into the luxuriously soft towel covered chez lounge.
"Do you mind," she said a bit haughtily for added effect.
The next thing she knew she was being lifted and squashed against a very wet Jack O'Neill, and thoroughly kissed.
He unceremoniously plopped her back into her chez. "Nope, not one bit," he said smugly.
Now that her Zen was crushed, though how could she mind being kissed by her handsome guy, she sat up in her chair. "How was fishing? Did you catch anything?"
"I actually did. It sort of looked like those things from P3X-1881 and I was glad to throw it back."
"I'm sure," she said with a giggle as she settled back into her chez.
It was quiet for a minute, and with Jack O'Neill that was a minute too long. She opened her eyes nervously and looked around since a quiet Jack is like a quiet toddler, up to no good?
He was sitting in the adjacent chez relaxing with his head thrown back and body glistening in the sun.
Suddenly she wasn't so tired any more.
She fought to tamper the dredges of guilt that crept in. That was her fiancé and it was ok that he could turn her on just by sitting in a chair catching some rays.
Hadn't he turned her on just as much before his de-aging?
Of course he had!
Before his de-aging she hadn't felt an ounce of guilt when he would walk into her lab after hours and he looked so good that she just had to have him right there and then. She'd had no problems sealing her blast doors and attacking him in the middle of her lab.
So why should she feel guilty now?
Was she acting any different?
No she wasn't. If anything she had been restraining herself since the beginning of this mess. She hadn't let go until Jack had made love to her the day after her ill-fated freezing bike ride, finally convincing her that she really was all that he wanted. That bodies didn't matter because they were just a shell. He was in love with her and the fact that she had a body that he couldn't get enough of was icing on his perfect cake.
She felt the same. She really did.
The only problem was that his body literally was perfect, intimidatingly so. She was just having a hard time realizing that what seemed too good to be true, actually was. That yes, this perfect specimen of a man was in love with her and she got to make love and have sex and do all sorts of wicked things with him and his perfect body.
She needed to let go and not let it intimidate her. Face this challenge like she did everything else in her life. Head on and full force to conquer her irrational fear.
She looked over at the absolutely delicious mountain she had to conquer and smiled wickedly beneath her dark sunglasses and floppy hat.
"Why don't we go and get showered and changed for dinner?" she asked slyly with a newfound sense of determination and not an ounce of guilt.
He kept his head back to soak up the rays but still managed to give her his trademark smirk. "We have late reservations why don't we veg for a bit longer."
She got up from her chez and slid onto his lap, "Why don't WE go get showered and changed for dinner?" she said with a wicked smile as she wound herself around him and nibbled on his ear.
He had to stop himself from jumping out of the chair, throwing her over his shoulder and running to their room. It had been a week since her running away incident and he missed her terribly. Unfortunately, life got in the way. Between finally being sent on missions and being exhausted from overwork, they had not made love since.
Well, that wasn't the only reason. He had been waiting on her. He had put the ball in her court and it was her serve. Damn cliché. In the few precious moments they had alone she had not responded to any of his subtle advances and he didn't know what else to do. It was now up to her.
Just now when she sat on his lap and whispered those words to him while nibbling on his ear, it had been like the heavens opening up and the angels singing.
Once his initial impulse of throwing her over his shoulder had passed, he let her take his hand and lead him away from the pool and to their room.
As per usual, Sam did nothing half way. Within the hour she had Jack whimpering for mercy and begging for release.
For the past week he hadn't allowed himself to take his own pleasure. He couldn't give a specific reason why, it just hadn't felt right. Now he was desperate for release and in the hands of a mad woman who was hell bent on torturing him to within an inch of his own sanity.
Life was sweet.
AWWWW! It was time for Sam to come to her senses and show a little bit of her tenacious nature. This is a woman whose blown up a sun! She had been going through a little set back... time for her to stand back up and face her challenges... But oh, what a fun challenge to face! Next is Christmas... with all the snow I am getting it certainly feels like it...
