Peter,

By now you are free and planning to come find me. Do not bother the pirates, they have had their share of fighting and I am no longer with them. I am going home. The pirates have told me what my connection to Neverland is, thanks to you. If it was up to me, and I would not die in the process, I would have let you and Neverland disappear. You took away my life—quite literally—and expected me to help you. In my opinion it's time for you to grow up, Peter. But I WILL die in the process. And after thinking about myself, I realized there is also an entire island of innocent people here who do not deserve to disappear without any warning. It's not their fault that you still rely on adults and cannot survive on your own.

So I found a friend who will help me walk through fire to reach my world. You do not deserve it, but she will deliver this note along with a box to you the second I leave. Inside the box is my voice. It should provide you will stories until the day I die, maybe even after, the mermaids were unclear. For all the villagers, the pirates, myself, and even some of your lost men I hope you manage to stay a child. I also hope this stops you from forcing another girl into my fate. My voice is a donation for her.

Don't come after me.

Daphne
