The Werewolf:

One night, I woke up at 2 a.m. in a cold sweat and an excruciating pain all over my body. I touched my forehead and noticed I had a fever. I leap out of the bed and went to stand in front of the mirror. What I saw scared me. My eyes were burning with fever, my skin was flushed, and my hair was sweat soaked. I looked down at my arms and I saw my skin bubbling and my muscles writhing. "What is happening to me?", I thought to myself. I decided to go out to the forest to get some fresh air. The full moon was shining over me. I kept walking, until I got to a meadow close to the river. By that time the pain was so excruciating, I fell down to the ground. I looked at my arms and fur was coming out of my skin. My bones were breaking out of their sockets and rearranging. My back shoot up, my spine bending at an impossible angle. "Someone help me, please", I whimpered into the cold night. It went on like that, for what it seemed like years. The spasms, the convulsions, my skin and muscles rippling and the dry heaves. Finally, it stopped or so I thought. My body gave one last rigid spasm, my bones crackling. I fell to the ground panting and tired but happy that it was over, whatever the heck it was that just happened. When I tried to stand it felt weird. I felt shorter somehow. "What the heck is happening?", I asked myself. I started walking on wobbly legs to the river. I saw in the reflection a medium dark-brown, brown-eye, furry wolf. "Is that me?", I asked myself. "No, it can't be", I answered. But, unfortunately it was me. I stayed there watching my reflection in the river, when suddenly I got this strong urge to eat. But, not human food. I started running through the forest, looking for something to eat. I could see in the night, as if it was daytime, smell and hear everything in the forest. Suddenly, this amazing, sweet scent came to me. It was a deer. I hid behind a tree, so I wouldn't scare it. I saw the deer eating grass. "Mmm, so delicious", I thought. I pounced on the deer, breaking his neck with the fall and sinking my sharp teeth on his juicy jugular, full of sweet blood. When I finished eating, I felt my body convulsing again. "Damn it, not so soon. I was starting to enjoy myself", I thought. I looked up to the sky and saw the moon hidden. My bones and muscles started crackling and rippling. Finally, it stopped and I was human again. I fell asleep in the forest. When I woke up again, it was daytime. I looked at myself and saw that I was naked, my hands and body were covered in blood that wasn't mine. "If the blood is not mine, then whose is it?", I asked myself. It took me a moment to remember what happened, but I did. I remembered everything that happened while I was a werewolf or she-wolf; however you want to call it. And that my dear reader, is the story of how I realized what I really am. That is the story of when I transformed into a werewolf.
