Day 2 - How would your FFC be as a wife/husband?
Only Charlie could make her smile after a horrible day at work. Twirling a dark lock of hair around her finger, Silena gently picked up the baby pink post-it with the other hand, a smile slowly forming on her face.
'You're beautiful'
Flipping it over, she read the words 'Hot chocolate, maybe?', and her grin became even wider. After hanging up her coat, she made her way towards the kitchen, heading straight towards the steaming mug of cocoa waiting for her. Lifting the cup, she found another post-it, this one green.
'When I see you, my eyes turn into little hearts 3'
Silena laughed, hugging the post-it to her body and spinning in a circle. This was the type of romance she'd wished for her entire life. After the Titan war, she'd given up all hopes of love. After all, she was a traitor. Silena couldn't imagine Charlie ever loving her again. She couldn't imagine anyone loving her, not even herself. The few months after the war were the worst. She retreated within herself, unable to face anyone or anything. But they had gotten through it together. Charlie had stayed beside her the entire time, and for that, she owed him her life. Turning the piece of paper over, she softly laughed at the words instructing her to hurry up and go to the sliding glass doors in the kitchen. Picking up the mug in one hand, she nearly ran towards the doors, unlatching them and making her way onto the cobblestone patio lying in front of it. Turning, she found another post-it.
'I'm a pretty generous person, but when it comes to you, I can't share.'
Silena grinned and ran to the porch swing, knowing that that's where her husband would be. Sitting there, a proud smirk on his face, sat Charles Beckendorf in all his Hephaestus glory, covered in grease and oil. After setting her cup down, Silena tackled him in a hug, planting a firework-filled kiss on his lips (Though whether or not that was courtesy of her mother, she would never know). Charlie laughed, gently setting her down in the seat next to him, before unfolding his hands, revealing the small golden object he'd been holding the entire time.
Silena gasped. Nestled in his palm was a tiny bronze bird, so beautifully and delicately constructed that it was hard to believe that someone as rugged as Beckendorf would have ever been able to make something as exquisite as the object in Silena's hands. And that's what she loved most about her husband. That though he may look anything but on the outside, he was the most caring and considerate person she knew. As Silena carefully cupped her dainty hands around the bird and stroked the top of its head, it's emerald eyes lighted up, and it took a short flight around the garden before resting on top of the porch swing's cast iron framework, chirping happily.
"You couldn't resist, could you, babe?" Silena asked, a playful spark in her eyes as she clutched Charlie's arm and looked up at the bird.
"Hey, it's not like Hecate's kids weren't willing to help. And you gotta admit, it's pretty cute" Beckendorf said, trying to defend himself but failing as he cracked a grin at his wife.
"Just remember Silena, that I will always love you, okay? No matter what, I'll be here for you and that's all that matters"
OMG IT'S CHARLENA FLUFF 3 Also, I feel like this could be much better written, but I had a strange urge to write something on Fanfiction so here you go It's also very plotless because it's fluff and fluff, like cotton candy, is basically just sugar and not very substantial but it's okay because honestly, they're the cutest couple ever. I actually think this couple would have been the 'so cute everyone gags when they're mentioned' one because it's so cheesy and romantic but yes, I hope you liked it and trust me, the others are much better.
Please drop a review if you have the time. It would mean the world to me
