Chapter 3:

Raven was anxious, no matter how hard she tried to meditate to calm herself it wasn't working. She just kept looking at the time knowing that soon she would meet Kyd Wykkyd again. She was facing an internal problem, so many doubts roamed through her mind. It always went back to why.

Why was she going to go out of her way and risk being led to a trap? Was she finally reaching her breaking point of not caring about consequences? When all her life she carefully planned out every detail so ensure that she would keep things in check?

Raven knew why, but she couldn't stand knowing that the cause of her world falling into pieces was due to a blonde girl with blue ocean eyes.

Taking a deep breath, Raven got up from her meditation position and headed to the location Kyd Wykkyd would soon be.

As soon as she arrived at her destined location, she could see Kyd Wykkyd already waiting for her at a table.

"Punctual I see?" Kyd Wykkyd commented with a smirk as he took a sip of the herbal tea in front of him, as he signaled at the tea that was there for Raven.

Raven sat down and picked up the tea that was Infront of her. Was this a test? No way in hell was she dumb enough to drink an unattended drink. However, she was inclined to drink as she wanted to make sure Kyd Wykkyd knew that she was there to make peace and had not ill intentions.

"I did not poison it, what kind of person would I be?" Kyd Wykkyd joked, as he watched Raven take a sip of the famous herbal tea.

Putting the tea down, Raven stared at Kyd Wykkyd and said, "Get to the point, why did you invite me here?"

"I wanted to talk Raven. Honestly, ever since the High Five split things just haven't been the same. I don't want to be a villain, never wanted to be one but I was judged as one. So, gave in to what people classified me as, it made me unhappy, I did not enjoy it. I was just misunderstood."

It was the sincerity that Raven felt in Kyd Wykkyds voice that made her question everything.

"Why are you telling me this?" Raven asked confused at the sudden confession coming from Kyd Wykkyd.

"I don't know, maybe I'm looking for your help. I just..." Kyd Wykkyd was cut off by Raven "How could I help you? The dark empath interrupted.

Raven wasn't too sure what type of strategy he was utilizing against her; it was all just confusing, and nothing was making sense to her.

"I don't know, I'm at a time in my life where being a villain is not something that I want to identify me. I am a person, a misjudge person who wants to go back and undo all the things that I have done and change for the better." Kyd Wykkyd explained.

"I'm not sure I can help you." Raven disclosed as she drank more of her tea that helped her ease her mind. "But I can try, I know what it feels like to be wrongfully judged and provoked to unleash actions that you don't want others to see." Letting her teacup down she looked at Kyd Wykkyd whose eyes seem to sparkle at the sight of Raven wanting to help him.

"I appreciate your kindness and for listening to my request."

Those same words echoed in Raven's head as she made her way back to the Tower. Was she about to help a so-called ex-villain?

All she really knew was that there was going to be some more investigating on him to ensure that his story is as factual as he made it out to be.

Raven entered the tower and saw all her teammates in the living room area having a team meeting.

"RAVEN! There you are friend. Please join us in this team meeting that we are having." Starfire eagerly invited Raven to sit next to her, knowing Robin was about to get his speech started.

As Raven sat down, she made sure not to mention anything that had happened between Beastboy and her or even Kyd Wyykyd. The less people that knew the better.

"Okay, now that everyone is here. I will be breaking the ice. Raven and Beast Boy are no longer together. Please ensure that it doesn't affect your ability to work as a team and try not to dwell on it too much." Robin announced looking at both Raven and Beast boy as this message was meant for them.

Raven got up and headed towards her room. "Where are you going?" Robin angerly questioned at Ravens actions.

"I rather not talk about things that don't matter. Trust me, whatever happened in my personal life will not disrupted my ability to work as a team." Raven snarked back at Robin growing tired of his indirect shots at her. With that the dark empath retreated to her room leaving the room in silence, no one believing what had just occurred.

Raven was angry, frustrated all the words in the book that can help described her unfortunate situation. She felt so stupid, finally the half demon began to finally believe in love and look what happened, she was betrayed. And to put the cherry on the cake, Robin had never supported the relationship between her and Beast Boy. Robin always hated the idea of team members developing feelings for one another, as it would get in between work.

Raven couldn't fault Robin, as he was right about one thing. These relationships with team members will never last. Just look what happened with her and the green changeling.

Raven hated him for being right.
