Erza was not the type of girl to faint. Nor was she the type of girl to overly freak out about something. She was a 'cool' type, or so she believed. And yet, she was securely in the realm of shocked and disbelieving, somewhere no 'cool' type should ever have the misfortune of finding themselves. Not that she would ever admit to it later, but she actually almost felt dizzy and the very edges of her vision were suspiciously becoming black and blurry. No, even if not admitting to anyone but herself, it was the pain and exhaustion that comes with what hard work it is to fight- and defeat- another powerful guild that brought on the temporary weakness.

Currently she was standing in the arched stone doorway where Luffy had unceremoniously dropped her ungrateful self, right after which she had turned around to see him wrap up the battle neatly with nary a single blow to his little head.

With one of the Wizard Saints.

The master of a well known, large guild.

Just like that.

Forgive her if she was under the impression that he was unable to do such a thing.

She was so in shock at that moment, she didn't even jump or make asound when said Wizard Saint embedded himself in the wall right next to her. Not that she would have jumped at all; no not her, never her. But she was just feeling a bit overwhelmed by the whole thing. Erza just stared at the lanky figure walking- no hobbling toward her. He had a pouty expression on his face and a hand on his partially exposed, sun-tanned stomach.

When a person defeats another person so powerful, a Wizard Saint, and walks away from the battle, the image induced of the aftermath was not this. A goofy looking, topless, skinny lad with untamable black hair with a beaten up straw hat and jean shorts- no shoes. The decite was completed with him looking bored, and, dare she say it, slightly disappointed as well as ready to take an afternoon cat nap. The only thing that might match up to the picture the mind painted of such a debacle is the red tinted gauze covering him from head to toe all over- marking him as a warrior. As he plodded his way ever closer to her current location, Erza knew for a fact she could not just simply stand there like a lawn ornament. Taking inventory, she took a third person point of view of the entire situation. The best observations and decisions- in her opinion- are made that way.

A boy who had just come into the guilds life a few short days ago, during a crisis, just so happened to also be the one who had ultimately, in a roundabout way, solved/saved them from the crisis. It was absolute insanity and a little suspicious. She dismissed the suspicious thought reluctantly though, he had proven himself trustworthy in this case; he just didn't seem the right character for evil master plans and plots. That was why she had to wonder, did he do this often? Just how strong was he exactly, what was the true extent of his power? She would have to ask him to battle her after this to test his strength, it could not have been a fluke with what she just saw.

Straightening her spine and snapping to attention, she glared straight at Luffy. By now he had reached her in the doorway, and he appeared to be without a care. Or so she first thought. Just as the false observation snuck into her cranium, it was hammered out with the little glance he shot her out of the corner of his eye. Just as quickly she she saw it, it disappeared. Feeling a little more relieved now for some reason, Erza cleared her throat roughly. Minutely the boy jumped. Heh-heh, she scented weakness and therefore opportunity. Unaware was she that with the little gestures he just made, she had completely lost all discomfort or tension that was there previously.

"Well, lets get to cleaning up this mess." She went to pull Jose out of the wall but he was pretty deep in there. Erza almost couldn't reach him he was so imbedded in the wall. As she was viciously yanking on his greasy locks attempting to yank him out but unable to due to his slippery hair- only resulting in banging his head against the crumpled stone wall repeatedly, a steady hand casually stretched past her and grabbed ahold of his ear and before she could say anything yanked him out-using only the ear! The ear! She couldn't help the smirk that graced her lips upon examination of the newbie holding the limp Wizard Saint up of the ground by his ear. It looked like a misbehaving child and his stern parent. Luffy representing the parent for probably the first time in his life.

She had no time to think more on that though before he said something that made her a little worried.

"Hey, are we going to leave the castle? Do we have to go through the same way we just came in?" there was a certain whine and boredom in the voice that reminded her of Natsu, on hearing that transportation was absolutely necessary. The tone meant that he was going to suggest that he just run or swim there or something along those lines. Just on a much less intense level or so she hoped. Feeling the need to nip what ever idea he was getting in the bud, she sternly told him

"Yes, we are." Leaving no brook for argument. She began to sweat when he just grunted in reply and stared at one of the large glass windows. It was when he looked to her with a glint in his eye and an innocent smile on his face that she attempted to run, pride be damned she couldn't stand that feeling of not being in control, and being slung around at high speeds seemingly randomly by someone else definitely made her feel as though she was not in control. Sprinting through the doorway she slammed it shut on the extended arm reaching for her, making it pull back in painful surprise enabling her to sit the site fully. She had thought she had escaped, just barely, when her ankle was grabbed and yanked. The frikkin psycho pulled her straight through the door!

Letting loose with the most girly scream in her life to date- Lucy would be proud- Erza freaked out

"KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!?" To make things even worse, he threw her- straight out the window. Her armor protected her from any injuries and she was to resilient that something like throwing her out a window would phase her but it was all a matter of height and expectancy. That was what got her, there was no telling how high up they were. And now, now she was going to unwillingly find out.

Still screaming and now pondering the sad fact that she would have to have a closed casket funeral- that was after they peeled her off the stone roads of Mongolia. She always thought she would go out fighting, not falling. To think that she would just be a stain on the ground resembling a exploded ketchup packet; it was a very depressing thought indeed.

It was at the time she was thinking that, that she was immediately face to face with Jose Porla. She had an entirely different reason for screaming in that moment, falling down had brought all the skin on his face up the wind resistance making it flap and slap about disgustingly and blood, mucus, drool, and tears were all flying; in all honesty he looked like a thing summoned from the deepest nastiest pits of the darkest cursed forests.

Just as quickly as she was face to face with Porla, she felt something constrict around her waist and what sounded suspiciously like laughter-no guffawing, the nerve!- before she was flipped, now looking at the blue sky spinning around and around as she kept rotating. There was a jolting sensation, much less than what she would have expected, and she was flipped one hundred eighty degrees in who knows what direction before landing feet first on the ground, facing the building opposite to Fairy Tail. Disgruntled, dizzy and not knowing which way was which, she stumbled a little, but that didn't stop her anger or her yelling,

"YOU FOOL, ONE DOES NOT SIMPLY THROW PEOPLE ABOUT AS THOUGH THEY ARE NOTHING BUT RANDOM LUMPS OF FLESH!" She was yelling blindly around her, arms outstretched, stumbling, looking for him as she still was struggling to regain her equilibrium when she heard it, it was definitely him

"Erza" turning to the source, she found him waving at her as though dealing with a slow child

"I'm over here…" sure she had been yelling at pillars and buildings, but that was beyond the point! The fact that he had the gall to treat her like that, after throwing her from the window of a tower, infuriated beyond belief. Erza transformed into her Flame Empress armor. Seeing red in her rage, literally breathing fire, she ran at him screaming,

"RUBBER MELTS NOW DOESN'T IT?" With those words-and she was ashamed to admit that she may have lost herself in her annoyance- his eyes widened and he started yelling and running away from her, arms up in the sky as though he was riding some fun amusement park attraction. He looked like he was having fun. One thought about that particular reaction from him in this situation.

MURDER.

He would take her lightly would he? Throwing attacks at him left and right, he jumped out of the way consistently. She took no notice of the roads surface as she was destroying it. They were slowly making their way into the guild. Guild mates gazed at the two in disbelief. Luffy had kept his firm grip on Jose, making for a rather ridiculous picture. When he got to the counter and the far wall, blocked in on the third side by an iron pillar, and she sent a blast impossible to dodge in his position straight at him, he pulled up the captive as a shield.

All their movements stopped. Not that she minded that she had just attacked the Phantom Lord master, after all, he deserved it all and then some. It was just that the situation became clear to her in that moment. She tried to contain it, but the relief and utter ridiculousness of the current situation got to her. Her mouth twitched and wobbled, then all the air escaped out of her lungs in one sudden moment and she couldn't contain it any longer. She laughed, and she laughed; she laughed so hard her stomach started to hurt and still she couldn't stop.

Luffy was SO CONFUSED! She was so unpredictable. He had gradually grown more accustomed to strange bouts of behavior every now and then. Mostly from Nami, but occasionally Robin would laugh at something that wasn't really all that funny like a random person in danger or something and the rest of the crew would get pale but he would just be confused; he had learned to accept it as something that people- girls in particular- do. But this was an extreme even he couldn't possibly fathom!

She had just been attempting to kill him and when he had defended himself with the weird evil dude they had defeated earlier in order to stop her from melting him, she had started laughing instead of the expected elevated anger, all of her considerable blood lust was seemingly gone. There were tears streaming down her face at this point from all the laughing.

Luffy decided he really didn't want to understand, if it was even possible for him to in the first place.

Examining the hodge podge surroundings, he pulled himself out of the enclosed space- moving cautiously, he didn't want to set anything else weird off with the girl. She seemed to not even notice him moving she was so absorbed in her laughing.

Moving on to look at the rest of the room and the people in it, he found them all to be light heartedly interacting with one another. Some were laughing with Erza, but they all were acting as though their favorite gladiator had won the championship or something. He didn't know it yet but they were all celebrating the victory they had known to be real the second they saw him block Erza's fiery magical blow with Jose. Although there had been much wincing, none of them felt as though it was a bad thing.

Two men walked up to him and went to grab weirdo out of his hand. The man who was reaching for his lipstick wearing captive had a pipe in his mouth and a smile on his face. He had a peculiar gravity defying hair style as well that put stars in Luffys eyes. It was not the first time he had seen it though, Franky could make his hair like that with the push of a button. Literally. Did not change the fact that it was absolutely amazing though.

There was a violet haired man next to the pipe smoker with his hair slicked back and a white trench coat looking jacket on. He had his arms crossed and a smile on his face as he interacted with Luffy and observed him.

"You can just let us have him kid, we'll take care of him, don't you worry." It was when they said this that Luffy thought it important to ask

"Just who is this guy anyway?" He Stuck out his lower lip, brows furrowed in consternation. They were acting as though he meant something. The sound of all the jaws in the room hitting the floor at the same time as well as the loud synchronized

"WHAT?!" could be heard from miles around. The doors of the guild opened, interrupting the questions and explanations that were about to be exchanged and at that moment and a very panicked looking-perfectly healthy- Makarov rushed in, followed by a troupe of injured people. The stripping guy, Nat… ummm...Natsu, Lucy, Mirajane, the big white haired man, the floating blue cat, the list went on but those were the ones he recognized. They were all looking more than just a little rough around the edges. Makarov started yelling the moment he cleared the entrance

"Everyone we have an EMERGENCY, Jose Porla is missing! Jus-" he was cut off the second he laid eyes on the rumpled limp figure in Luffys half way outstretched hand.

"WHAT IN GODS NAME IS GOING ON?!" He seemed to get larger as he was speaking and his face was red, Erza appeared right then, materializing in front of the small-?- man.

"Master, I will explain it all to you in more detail later, the simplified version is that Luffy and I, after entering Phantom Lord through the Canon, found and defeated Jose Porla. After that we returned to the guild- we brought him with us." Everyone who had just come in was stunned, the people already in the guild had already deduced as much though so they just nodded their heads in sympathy for those who had just heard the crippling news, and Luffy, scratching his head asked

"Who is Jose Porla" He yelped loudly when an armored covered hand slammed down hard on the top of his head. She really didn't hold back at all. Erza had returned to her regular armor when he wasn't looking- meaning that her fists world hurt all that much more due to the metal plating. He was actually relieved though, he much preferred this form to the fiery one, rubber really might melt like she said and he really didn't want to find out if he did as well.

"You mean you faught him without knowing who this guy was?" Mirajane asked gesturing toward the battered man, incredulous. Luffy, while cradling the lump forming on his head along with tears forming in his eyes, dismally replied

"Yeah, he seemed like a not so nice person, and he started it with me!" Erza had started it with 'Juse' what's his face before, then the man had started his fight with Luffy. Luffy stomped his foot after his statement, and everyone in the room was completely and utterly flabberghasted. They all seemed to reach a unanimous decision though. Taking a collective deep breath, they all seemed to think one phase 'Nope, lets deal with this later and celebrate now.' before returning to their activities.

The master himself, just smiled and said as though he had dealt with it all before a million times, it was a little dis disconcerting actually the way he said it and how he looked when he said it

"Is that so? Good job then. Follow me with Erza now."He gestured toward the top floor and Luffy nodded willing to follow, but as he did a unearthly underwater sounding howl ripped throughout the room. Rubbing his stomach as everyone searched frantically for the threat that had made the sound, he grabbed his hat and set it on his head.

"Food first?"
