What's up people? Thanks to everyone who has reviewed, favorite, and followed this story. Really I have no excuse for not uploading this sooner other than I lost my USB drive…. It happens more often than you would think. I've actually had this written since about February of 2014… yeah I know I suck.

Disclaimer: If it's recognizable I don't own it. I only own my OC.

Kimiko P.O.V.

"What just happened to me?" Takuya asked between his pants for breath. We had just slid down to the bottom of the pit. Really, did he not remember being turned into a digimon?

"You mean before or after you turned into a digimon?" Zoe asked. I gave Takuya a smirk as I shoved my hands into my hoodie pockets.

"Me," Takuya asked, "a digimon?" Honestly, it was him who did the fighting not us. Maybe the goggles were constricting the blood flow to his brain.

"Yes, through the process of digivolution." You tell us chicken dude.

"Digi-what?" Takuya asked. "It had to be something I pressed." Cue frantic button pressing. "Come on! Digivolution start! Operation turn me into a digimon, go!" I shook my head, what an idiot.

"Fractal code, render." Hello again mysterious voice. A huge flash of light burst out of Takuya's D-tector. Bunny dude's eyes got wide. Funny facial expression, I wonder if he can do it again.

"Oh boy, I think I broke it!" Takuya exclaimed panicking.

"I knew it! It's the fractal code!" chicken dude pointed out. As the glow faded I saw that the fractal code was rebuilding the landscape. Well that was cool.

"There's no way this is happening!" JP said. I rolled my eyes. Of course this isn't happening. It wasn't as if all of us had seen the same thing. Oh wait, we did. Sucks to be you dude. Get over it.

"Whoa," Takuya said with a bewildered expression on his face. "Did I do all that?"

"No, the light just happened to come out of your D- tector for no reason." And for that bit of sarcasm I was given a look of annoyance from the resident goggle head.

"It's the dawn of regeneration!" chicken dude shouted out as we ran out of the train station.

"No more living in a train station!" That was bunny man. "Trailmon will never go whoo-whoo in my ears again!" Well I would be happy about that too little rabbit dude.

"Nice going my human friend! By the way I'm Bokomon, keeper of the book, at your ser````````````vice." Well I guess chicken dude has a name now.

"And I'm Neemon, keeper of my pants, also at your service you awesome human." I had a feeling that he was going to be a great source of entertainment for me.

"On behalf of the digital world accept our thanks, oh human who restores what has been lost." Well that was a really fancy way to say something really simple Bokomon.

"Call me Takuya, and I still don't know why all this fractal code stuff is such a big deal anyway."

"What?! You really don't know?" Bokomon said like it was obvious.

"Oh," Neemon started worriedly, "he doesn't know."

"Um, I'm going to take a guess and say that it has something to do with the land coming back," I said.

"Hey, why are we running?" JP asked slightly out of breath.

"I don't know," came Zoe's reply. I had to agree with her on that one.

"Behold!" Bokomon shouted as he took a book out of his waist band. Really, he had a book inside there?! How could that be anywhere close to comfortable? "Before the evil Cherubimon came, our world was a beautiful place."

"Flowers, trees and butterflies!" Neemon interrupted.

"Neemon, I'm in the middle of something here." Bokomon scolded.

"Sorry," came the bunny digimon's reply.

"His power made many digimon go wild and our world started to die. The only way to bring back everything that was lost was the fractal code."

I looked over to see Takuya gazing at his D-tector as we walked along the path. "And I made it happen," Takuya thought aloud, "with this little device."

"Wow I wonder if I can do it too." Zoe asked to no one in particular as she held her own device up. I faintly heard JP hmmm, like he was thinking hard about something. "Our devices look the same." Zoe continued to say as we trudged on ahead.

"Maybe girls aren't meant to be digimon." Takuya responded.

"Excuse you!" Zoe shot back.

"Wow Goggles how sexist was that! We have a D-tector just like you. When we get our spirits you, sir, are going to be on the top of my hit list. As in list of people I'm going to hit in the face." I ranted. I really didn't like it when people did stuff like that. I mean seriously just because I'm a girl doesn't mean that I'm weaker.

"Hey I didn't mean it like that! And my name's Takuya!" Takuya exclaimed. I didn't bother responding to that.

We were looking around the newly found village in wonder. Zoe decided to peek into a local house's window and look around. Of course she had to squat down to look into it since they were tiny. Takuya was just looking around everywhere while I was leaning against a tree taking in my surroundings. Then I noticed something. Well actually more like two things. And they were missing. It seemed like Takuya had noticed it as well.

"Hey, where's Tommy?" he asked us after shaking his head frantically.

"He's with JP, I thought." Replied Zoe.

Bokomon decided to stick his head out of the window Zoe had been looking in. "Maybe they're playing hide-and-go-seek."

"Maybe they got eaten by a bunch of big, old bears!" Wow, way to think positive Neemon.

"Alright, now I'm worried." Of course you would be Blondie, who wouldn't.

"Well, better go look for them," Takuya grunted. I pushed off the tree and shrugged my shoulders. As long as JP hadn't done anything stupid like feeding the digimon chocolate or something they were probably okay. If he got Tommy hurt though he would be in a world of pain.

"Guys! JP! Tommy!" We all yelled out semi-panicking. Oh when I get my hands on them they are either going to get smacked silly or hugged to death. I can't decide which ones just yet.

"Where could they be?" Zoe asked worriedly.

"Hey poyomon," Bokomon called out to the white marshmallow ghosts, "have you seen any human children?"

"We saw two being chased into the forest by pagumon. Over there," they chorused. Well that was slightly creepy. Neemon's eyes did that funny buggy out thing again. I'm guessing that's not a good thing then.

"Oh, that's worse than bears!" Neemon exclaimed fearfully. Aaand it looks like I was right.

"Pagumon?" Zoe questioned our digimon companions.

"Yes, nasty little digimon with bad attitudes," comes the reply from Bokomon. Great just what we needed. JP is so getting it when we find them. Beside me Takuya turned his head and looked off into the distance.

"Come on guys let's go find them," I voiced as I started pushing the goggle head along.

"Tommy! JP! Where are you guys! Tommy, answer me please!" I exclaimed. Blondie and Goggles were doing the same as we kept looking for the missing boys. I really hope that they're okay and haven't been attacked. If they have been, I swear JP is going to get it.

"Where could they have gotten off to?" Takuya asked after we had stopped shouting for a bit. Well if we knew that we wouldn't be searching for them now would we?

"Poor Tommy, He's such a little guy and he didn't even want to be here in the first place," came a reply from a worried looking Zoe.

"Yeah you're right he really shouldn't be out without his parents," Takuya responded to the now smiling girl. "I guess I'm just gonna have to keep my eye on him." Zoe started giggling after he said that. What was up with her? Two kids were missing and she's giggling like a little girl!

"Look at you pretending to be all mature! How adorable." Seriously chick we have other things to worry about besides how 'mature' Takuya is acting!

"Hey, what do you mean adorable? I'm in the sixth grade," came the irate reply from the goggle head.

"Really," Zoe continued slyly, "you're in the same grade I'm in? Who'd have thought? I was so sure you were two to three years younger, at least." Seriously now is not the time for this.

"Wait a minute, what's that supposed to mean?" the brunet defended.

"When's you're birthday?" Zoe asked coyly. Honestly can you not flirt right now?

"In August," Takuya said hotly. I could just tell he was getting more riled up with each word the girl said.

"Ha, I knew it I am older. I was born in May," Zoe gloated. "That makes me a grand total of three months older than you."

"Okay stop, both of you stop. It doesn't matter who is older. What really matters right now is where JP and Tommy are, so will you just stop with the flirting and the arguing! For all we know they could be getting attacked right now," I admonished. Looking down the two appeared to be ashamed.

Takuya suddenly crouched down. "Hey check it out," he said as he picked up a D-tector. Not just any D-tector either, it was Tommy's. Zoe reiterated my thoughts and took a step in front of Takuya. As she stepped almost directly in front of him the dirt beneath her feet crumbled and fell taking her along with it. As she fell she grabbed on to Takuya, who then grabbed on to me to stop from falling. That didn't work out to well and all three of us fell into the hole. When we finally reached the bottom, we landed on a pile of leaves.

"I'm alive!" Zoe pronounced happily while hugging Takuya. "I'm alive! Oh, I could just kiss you!" Takuya started blushing as she turned to him and said that.

"Uhhh, huh?" Takuya ever so intelligently muttered. Hearing this Blondie freaked out and started slapping him. Multiple times. In the face. After she finished that she pushed him away with a squeal, demanding that he get away from her. Unfortunately he ended up being pushed into me, sending the both of us toppling over.

"Ouch," I whispered softly as Takuya yelled at Zoe. Thanks for that Blondie, way to act mature. The least either of them could have done was say sorry, but no they had to yell at each other. Oh look, now Zoe is yelling back at Takuya. Just what we needed. They just keep bantering back and forth like we don't have anything important to do.

Slowly I get up and start walking down a hallway. Behind me I hear the arguing pair get up, actually starting to do what we had set out for and follow me.

Later after searching some more and thankfully very little arguing from my companions, I was starting to give up hope. We hadn't seen any trace of either JP or Tommy for hours.

"HELP ME!"

Our heads snapped in the direction of the echoing screams. That had to be them! I heard Zoe express my thoughts and Takuya snapping back at her about helping them.

"Will you two quit bickering and hurry up already!" I shout back at them. It takes a second but they snap out of it and follow quickly behind. As we run Takuya pulls slightly in front of me and gets to the end of the tunnel before stopping. Apparently Bokomon and Neemon must have showed up while we were running because they came to a stop between Zoe and me.

"Gross," I mutter but my words are unheard under the volume of Zoe exclaiming about the rancid smell coming from the room. Looking around I see Bandanna Boy running away from a new digimon's green sludge attack that is leaving holes in the metal of the floor. Upon closer inspection I see Tommy in his arms while JP is just sitting on the floor in a shell shocked state.

Takuya pulls his D-tector out of his pocket and looks at it intently. "Spirit I need you!" he declares while staring at the screen. "Come on, I'm not kidding here," he frantically proclaims when the screen stays blank. He keeps grumbling at the screen and pressing buttons when nothing seems to work.

"Um, Takuya, no pressure but you might want to think about spirit evolving before stinky there decides to turn your friends into goop," Bokomon says. Meanwhile, Bandanna Boy, who is still holding Tommy, starts to back towards a hole in the middle of the room. Takuya gets more frantic and a symbol appears on his screen. Bandanna has finally gone as close to the hole as he can and accidentally steps back into the hole before righting himself. The monster looms closer to the two boys as Takuya finally gets his D-tector to work.

"Spirit!" he yells gaining the attention of everyone in the room. "Execute: Spirit Evolution!" The google head is encased in light and data. As the light fades Agunimon stands in his place and quickly heads towards the center of the room and tackles the awful smelling monster. Jumping back quickly he gruffly tells the boys to get out of there while they still have a chance. Soon though data surrounds him again and leaves behind a very human Takuya who can get just as hurt as the boys if they don't hurry and get out of there.

"What's going on? I turned back into me," Takuya said breathlessly. More holes appear in the metal surrounding the room and light shines through every one. All three boys are standing by the hole now.

"Still here!" the monster reminds with an almost sing songy voice before spraying more of the acid sludge at the boys. Takuya pushes Tommy out of the way quickly but in the process knocks Bandanna Boy into the hole.

"NO!" I yell as the boy falls backwards with a scream. I start to move forward as a bright light comes out of the hole. As the light fades a new digimon appears and I cannot help but hope that it is Bandanna Boy.

The new digimon looks like a tall blonde man in wolf like armor and mask with a long, flowing, striped scarf. His blond hair frames his face that is set in a serious expression. His red eyes calmly assess the situation as he slowly lowers to the ground.

The peanut gallery (me included) all sound out various sounds of awe and appreciation.

"That's the legendary warrior of light, Lobomon," Bokomon states with reverence as he reads from his book.

"I've never seen anything more beautiful in my whole life!" Zoe says slightly dreamy. I look around me to see that everyone has awestruck faces. If I'm being honest I was impressed as well.

"Me neither," JP adds.

"You can say that again!" Takuya acknowledges.

The monster, not to be intimidated, seems to be just as determined as ever. "Acid Sludge!" it calls.

"Lobo Kendo!" Lobomon calls while drawing what reminds me of a light saber. He rushes at the monster, slicing through the sludge before finally jumping up and stabbing the light saber into its disgusting head. The monster screams in agony as putrid fluids spray out and it turns into more fractal code. Lobomon leaps away from the monster and lands on his feet.

"Now you talking trash head," he starts as he raises his D-tector, "prepare to be recycled!" The D-tector comes on and starts to scan the fractal code. "Fractal Code: Digitize." The fractal code goes into the device and an egg is all that's left after the scanning is done. '

"Molto Bravissimo!" Zoe exclaims in Italian upon seeing the battle is done. Data surrounds Lobomon and reveals that he is in fact Bandanna Boy. Now that the fight is over I start to run towards him; arriving barely a second behind Takuya and Tommy.

"Hey, are you alright? Let me help you up," Takuya says hurriedly to the raven haired boy.

Bandanna Boy growls at us. "Don't touch me." Okay so this guy needs to relax. "I don't need your help, or anyone else's."

There is dead silence as the boy pants and slowly gets up. "But I guess I should thank you for saving me. I always repay my debts," the boys says gruffly.

"I didn't do it so that you'd owe me, ya know," Takuya replies confused.

"My name's Koji Minamoto, and you are…" the boy now known as Koji trails off. After a moment of silence he grows agitated. "So are you going to tell me? I can't repay you if I don't know you're name," demands.

Finally Takuya breaks his silences, "I'm Takuya Kanbara."

"Takuya, huh?" Koji reiterates while turning towards the exit. "See ya."

As he starts walking away I run to catch up with him. I manage to grab a hold of his shoulder and he turns just slightly to see who the offending hand belonged to.

"Hey," I said, "thanks for saving Tommy back there."

"I didn't do it for you. He and that other yahoo could have gotten really hurt and I wasn't just going to watch them get bitten to death." Koji turns and starts to walk away again.

"Thanks any way, I owe ya one and like you I always pay my debts."

He hesitates for just second and turns his head over his shoulder. "What's your name?" he asks with a smirk.

I tilt my head to the side a little bit and send a smirk back, "Kimiko, Kimiko Ishida."

"Well, I guess I'll see you around then." With that he walks through the tunnel and I turn back to the rest of the group.

(insert line break here)

When we finally get back above ground I take a breath of fresh air. On the way up JP and Tommy had been telling us what all had happened while they were separated from the group. Needless to say I was rather unimpressed with JP at the moment. As soon as they got to the part about the pagumon digivolving to raremon I had had enough.

"Hey, what was that for?" JP asked after I slapped him on the back of the head.

"That was for running off and making us worried."

"Sorry," the heavy set boy mumbled. "Didn't really think about that."

"I would think not! Do you have any idea how worried we were? You two up and disappear in unfamiliar territory without telling anyone else, of course we'd be worried! Sure we haven't known each other for very long but haven't you heard of strength in numbers. Did you even think to ask the rest of us if we wanted to go home too?" I know I'm ranting but I can't help it. Tommy just reminds me so much of TK with his innocent eyes and trusting nature. Finally I take a deep breath and calm down enough to notice how ashamed they both looked.

"Sorry," Tommy whimpers. Realizing I'm the one who made both of them so sad I reach out to ruffle their hair.

"What's done is done just make sure it doesn't happen again, okay?"

"Hey guys cheer up! How about we all see if we can get a trailmon to take us back home," Takuya brightly remarked. Needless to say we all agreed.

And Done! Sorry for the wait guys!
