Many months later, Giovanna grew in skills and knowledge. Her ability to forge weapons grew to the point that she could forge a weapon practically anywhere and from anything. Her skills as a tailor allowed her to fix another's clothes and other items such as pouches or saddles. Her medical skills improved so much that she could actually heal most wounds, even if they were fatal. And as her skills as an Assassin improved greatly, nearly rivaling Ezio's skills.
Her best and favorite weapon was the dagger. She found it much easier to control and attack with. She also liked the crossbow because of the power, speed, and efficiency it had. (She could also use a regular bow.)
Her relationship with the Auditore family was wonderful. Mario was the grandfather she could not have. He spoiled her by giving her various weapons for no apparent reason other than that she deserved them (even then no one really knew what he meant by that). Maria was the grandmother who loved her dearly. She always made sure that Giovanna was alright and bandaged her up after she got hurt from training, even though Giovanna could do it herself. She also told her stories of her deceased grandfather and uncles. Even stories of the living Auditores. Claudia was the aunt that gave her things that Ezio would not be able to give. She made sure that she had time to relax when not working. Ezio was an amazing father. He would be rough on her when it came to her training, but he loved her so much. He never really thought that he would have a day in which he would have a child who is so much like him. He now knew how his father felt at times when Ezio and Federico fooled around.
There was a difference, however. Giovanna did not fool around when it was time to be serious. When she was not serious, she always liked to joke around with Ezio. She never did anything that could harm anyone, but she always stole her father's items such as his sword, non-urgent documents, or any other weapons. She hides them in various places in Monterriggioni, forcing Ezio to spend hours searching for said items. At first, Ezio would get upset and try to interrogate her to get the location. When that happened, she would do one of three things: run and hide from Ezio until he found what he was looking for; not say a single word and had a blank face throughout the whole interrogation, forcing Ezio to give up and still look for the items; or she would talk in riddles, following him until he found the object.
Ezio eventually saw this was good practice for if she were to be an Assassin. With that in mind, he created puzzles for her. He would make it difficult by asking various people such as Mario, Leonardo, Paola, and La Volpe to help. She would be given an assignment in which she had to complete a certain amount of time. After the task was complete, he would have a little celebration.
Ezio was strict, but spent as much time he could with her. Their days were spent out riding around Monterriggioni on horses, having races, or visiting Leonardo or Lorenzo de Medici in Firenze.
When they weren't doing any of that, they would walk around and talk. There never really was a specific subject of their conversations.
Tomorrow was a very important day for Ezio. It was Giovanna's first birthday with Ezio. She was turning 11 years old. Maria planned on giving her a cape with the Auditore crest, like she gave Ezio. Claudia was going to give her a dress she had made specifically for her. Mario was going to give a set of throwing knives with a rose and stem carved into each of the metal (not the hilt). Leonardo was going to give her a notebook with writing utensils (pencils) so she could practice her drawings/ideas while traveling. The blacksmith, the tailor, and the doctor were going to give her armor, Assassin robes, and rare and common herbs, respectively. Ezio, however, did not know what to give her. He wanted it to be special. He spent many hours deciding on what to give her.
On the day of her birthday, Giovanna was woken up by her father pushing her off the bed and laughing at her when she started yelling at him.
At breakfast, Mario, Maria, and Claudia wished her a Happy Birthday, hugged her, and gave her their presents. She hugged them back, opened the presents, and thanked them. After breakfast, Ezio took Giovanna to her three mentors who wished her a Happy Birthday as well and gave her their presents, which she loved as much as the Auditores' presents. They returned home so she could examine her presents. When she changed into her Assassin outfit, she looked like a miniature version of Ezio and Giovanni. The robes fit her perfectly, but were loose enough to make her look like a boy. The cape was long enough to nearly touch the ground. (It was long so as she grew, it still fits her). The armor was visible, but only if you knew how it looked like. It was strong, but dull so it looked like cloth. The throwing knives were hidden in various places. She found them very comfortable and very beautiful.
When everyone saw her, tears were brought to their eyes. Mario and Maria thought that she looked like her deceased grandfather, Giovanni. Ezio and Claudia thought that it was adorable, but were reminded of Petruccio and Federico when they thought of the former. Giovanna asked them if they were okay and they replied by hugging her close and they told her of who they were thinking of. She stayed silent for a moment.
"I will do my best to make them proud."
After that, Ezio thought it was time to give his present.
He led her to the stables and into a stall. There, she found a beautiful house. It was a female who had a beautiful black coat that seemed to have a shine a dark blue color. At the base of her feet, she had white socks that went up to her ankles. On her face, she had a white mark in the shape of a lightning bolt. Her eyes were a dark brown that were so kind and happy it made Giovanna feel safe. Her mane and tail were a shiny black that looked so soft it made Giovanna want to bury her face in it. She was twice as tall as Giovanna and looked strong and fast.
"She is yours. Her name is Bella." Ezio told her as she approached the horse. "Also, I have something else for you." He grabbed a large box that was resting against the wall in the stall and gave it to her. She opened the box to reveal a few items: a crossbow that was small and made with a light wood, a holster for it, several arrows (that were made of the same metal of a sword), and something that surprised Giovanna: a hidden blade. It was different than her father's blade. It was a blade, but instead of the metal armor, it had leather straps with buckles.
"I had wanted to give it to you later, but I think it would be best for you to learn how to use it now. Also, I wanted for you to have something to protect yourself with." Ezio explained.
Giovanna tackled her father to the ground in a hug. She buried her face into his chest.
"Grazie, padre. I…" She began crying , wetting his shirt, but he did not mind at all. He sat up and wrapped his arms around her, holding her close.
It was a beautiful and special day for both father and daughter.
Hey guys! Writing this while in my most boring class! I wanted to let you know that I do not have an official date for Giovanna's birthday. It will probably be after Ezio's birthday, but I'm thinking somewhere in the month of December. What do you guys think? Let me know.

Thank you all of you! I will continue to update! Also, I'm thinking of starting a Let's Play channel on YouTube. However, I don't know what would best be for me to use to capture footage of my games while playing. I want to use a Wii and a PS3 since those are the only for sure that I have. Any suggestions? I'll let you guys know when I upload a first video or if it will happen.
Until next time!
