Huge thanks to my beta, who really helped me make this story less embarrassing for me to read later.

"As we know, the particle accelerator in Star Labs was shut down as complications arose, but we didn't know that shutting it down released a blast that flowed throughout the city, until later. There have been no casualties from the blast, surprisingly. In fact, the worst case admitted to the hospital last night was police scientist, Barry Allen, who is currently in a coma, but stable. He was found at his lab by a co-worker. It appears that a lightning bolt from the storm the particle accelerator created put him in the hospital and not the actual particle accelerator. We will have more information to tell you soon."
"What!? What the hell!?" Felicity screams, making Oliver and Diggle stop sparring with the weird sticks. (Oliver got mad once when she called them that out loud, and didn't talk to her for a week. He and Diggle also told her the name multiple times. She still doesn't remember it.)
"Felicity, whats wrong?" Diggle asks with a worried tone.
"Its Barry-h-I- he" Felicity can't even say it. Its like saying it will make it final, and worst of all, true.
"Felicity, what happened?" Oliver says, crossing the room and putting his hand on her shoulder.
"Barry was at his lab, and there was a thunder storm yesterday… He got hit." Felicity finally gets out. "They say he's stable, but also in a coma."
"Oh..Well, I'm sorry." Oliver says uncomfortably, removing his hand and crossing his arms, silently asking Diggle to deal with this with his eyes, as she seems to talk to him more.
"I'll have to be taking off a couple days from work, but you both understand."Felicity tells them both, gathering her things.
"Fine, but can you be back in a week? I know you care for him, but you'd be mad if we messed with your precious computers, and trouble never stops." Oliver asks Felicity stopping her at the door.
"Oliver, I know you want to save this city, but I don't know when I'll be back. I'll notify you at a later date, but I can't say anything is set in stone." She says in a biting tone not many people have heard from Felicity as she leaves through the secret door.
Though Thea taking responsibility for something was amazing, not being able to come and go as they pleased, and having to sneak around when the club was most crowded was a pain, but something they had to deal with.
"Her and that kid are meant to be. No doubt about it." Diggle says, mouth formed in his signature smirk.
"What? No, she told me a few weeks ago that she cared deeply for me." Oliver says.
"Nah man. I'm telling you, they're going to get together."
"Not if I have anything to do about it." Oliver mumbles under his breath, but Diggle still catches it.
"Man, you said your playboy days are over." Diggle says, most likely annoyed.
"They are! but Barry is bad news, he'll distract Felicity, use up her nights. And, even if they get together, Barry's going to break her heart."
"No, because, she's not only a friend to you. And how will he break her heart?" Diggle tries, loving Felicity like a little sister, and wanting to protect her like the big brother he somehow became.
"I- He'll- I don't know! I just don't want Felicity to get hurt, and she's really trusting. We've known guys who want only one thing from girls, and most of my friends were like that. I was like that. And the first thing I did was brag to my friends about it once it was over. Her and I may have fought before but… We've gotten closer. I can't stand to see her hurt. " Oliver tells Diggle.
"First of all, who says the kid is like you? Secondly, neither can I man, but I know she's a grown woman, she can handle herself. She can also be trusted to make her own choices, and not have to rely on others to make them for her. " Diggle reminds Oliver. (THIS SOUNDS WEIRD! I don't know how to make these points without the sentences sounding weird. How did you do the different fonts? Thats easier to use.)
"And if you try to help, you might just hurt her." Diggle adds as an afterthought.
"Diggle, I have to do something." Oliver says over his shoulder, formulating a plan in his head as he leaves.
