"Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse."
"No, not that one," sounded the collective groans of teams RWBY and JNPR as Weiss began to tell a story.
"What! It's a classic, why wouldn't you want to hear it?"
"Because we've heard it a million times before," Yang sounded, putting in her two cents.
"Well then, why doesn't someone else tell a story," snapped the heiress with a grumpy pout, "Anyhow, you've probably heard them all anyway so what's it matter?"
"Well, someone could… I dunno… make one up," offered Jaune.
"Ooh! Can I! Oh please, please, please!" Nora sang from within the group.
"Well… I don't see why not," said Pyrrha a little hesitantly.
"Yay, I get to tell a story. I'll tell the one of a fish named Dory!" Ruby laughed at Nora's response.
"Nora, maybe you shouldn't make the story about a fish that already exists," Blake said in fear that the Valkyrie would ruin a good movie.
"Fine, fine, there's no need to fuss. Oh, I know, I'll make one about all of us!"
"Wait is she rhyming on purpose?" asked Yang. Ren only nodded with a passive expression on his face.
"Tell us your story then," the stoic boy finally spoke. Glee filled the hyperactive girl's eyes.
"Ok, just so you know this story is in Vale. The name I shall call it is 'A Holiday Tale'."
Snow marks the season for holiday cheer,
Children laugh and its music to my ear.
While the others walk, I am hopping
For today is the day we go Christmas shopping.
The others give out friendly banter
While some try guessing their secret Santa,
But all the while I skip and sing
Because of the joy that Christmas can bring.
The vale streets are decorated with holly
And the townsfolk celebrate, all of them jolly.
"Now that all the shopping is done
It's time we have some actual fun."
Weiss exclaimed with much delight
Her smile was an unusual sight.
A smile that I had not seen before
A bright smile it is, that's for sure.
Yang stood tall with a posture of might
Then she let out a yell. "Snowball fight!"
Balls of snow flew through the air
Everyone was working in pair
Yang and Blake, Ruby and Weiss,
The snow felt cold like ice.
Pyrrha and Jaune let out a battle cry.
The only pair left is Ren and I
Working together, side by side,
Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide.
The time flew by as we continued the fun
Until the we lost the light of the sun,
And so it's back to Beacon we go
To warm up with some hot cocoa.
In a few days the airships will fly
And we all will have to say our goodbyes.
Until that time, we stay together
Keeping warm and away from the weather.
"And so we all gave and received a gift, and soon off to sleep we all did drift. The End."
"Nora, you realise that's what we did today… right?" Blake inquired
"Oh lighten up kitty-cat, I enjoyed it. Besides, any story is a good story if you can make it rhyme."
"Yang, what did I say about that nick name?"
"But I think its purrfectly fitting."
"Shut it, Yang!" the group shouted collectively.
So to all you readers who enjoy my story, I'd like to give you all the glory. For it is you, the readers at home and it is all the support and kindness you've shown that motivates me to do what I do. Indeed, my friends, it is all for you. To all of you I wish a happy holiday season, and I thank you for being my reason. Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.
