Given the news I just read today about RT, I feel obligated to point out my thoughts.

I don't remember when exactly I started watching RT. All I remember is looking at the first five seasons of RvB on my iPod mini. I only really got hooked on the company when Monty's work started to appear. And when RWBY was announced, it really captivated me. A series that would eventually jump-start my interest in animation, and enable me to push past my anxiety and write a story that would be read, and tolerated by thousands of people on the Internet... it's probably not an exaggeration to say that RT was a big factor in turning my life around for the better.

And I'll admit, I'm no stranger to the controversies around the company. I didn't know the details, and I really didn't want to know. But I'm not going to whitewash them, and say that everything they put out was solid gold and conveniently forget the controversies. I just... kept my head down whenever it happened. All I wanted to see was the great content this company had put out. If the company could keep working, then that was all I cared about. It's a very naive viewpoint; I'll be the first to admit. But it's what kept me moving ahead, no matter how hard it got for me.

But even so, I'm still gutted that this company, a company that I wanted to see in person, and hopefully work at one day, has been shuttered so unceremoniously. But that's the will of execs, isn't it? At the end of the day, it's all about how much money their assets can rake in. If something isn't bringing in the bucks, best to cut it off, huh?

Anyway, in regards to this story's future (and it's probably premature to say this, given I'm only halfway through Volume 5 in the story), if RWBY continues, then I'll try and keep writing. I don't want to stop, and I don't want to have it cut off so quickly. But if not... well...

There's not much I can do.
