Introvert. That single word brings a lot of misconceptions the word means different things to many people but in reality, what they think introvert
means is not true to its actual definition. So what is an Introvert? An introvert is a personality type. There are mainly three personalities, an
Extrovert and Introvert and an Ambivert. Extroverts usually enjoy spending lots of time with people and being around many people makes them
energized, Introverts are the exact opposite, they enjoy spending time with only people close to them and like to spend time alone, in fact too
much socializing makes them tired and they need some alone time, we will take more about this later. As for an Ambivert, they fall smack in the
middle of the two having both Extrovert and Introvert characteristics. I am an Introvert. Introverts and shyness are 2 totally different things,
extroverts can be shy too. Introverts are just silent. Sometimes they just don’t have anything to say or are focusing on only listening to you while
you talk or they zone into their own thoughts and sometimes they really do want to talk to you but they can’t. Their brainswork way differently than
extroverts do and in a world dominated by extroverts, people may find introverts a little strange. You see, when an introvert wants to say something
they go through a long process in their minds. First they are trying furiously to think about what they want to say to you but they might be nervous
near you making it harder to think also they REALLY want to say something and the urgency to say something makes it harder to think and when
they finally know along the lines what they are about to say they need to do an edit and revise, make sure their words will be said correctly as
introverts don’t like to blurt things out as one bad choice of words could be harmful. By the time they are ready to talk, they person talking to them
has moved onto another conversation so the introvert has to go through the entire process again! This is what makes the introverts get so tired out
of social interaction and after a while their mind may completely shut down. They may be sluggish, their speech may become slurred their brains
feel like mush, their lungs may feel twisted together as it becomes a little harder for them to breathe, their head may be pounding and they may be
sweating for no reason whatsoever. These are common signs of something known as the Introvert Hangover, when they have had WAY too much
socialization. The only way to cure the Hangover is to be alone has spending time by themselves is not a want, most of the time it is a need. This
may mean leaving a party early and going home which actually could be taken as offence by the host but they must learn to know it is important
for the health of every introvert. Are You an Introvert? Copy this on your profile too.
