Just like young Anne daydreaming about her ideal of her first and only love, tall, dark, brooding and handsome with a castle in Spain, Gilbert was my very picture of an 'ideal' boyfriend'.

I love the way LMM writes intimately about her characters and how many of her themes are still relevant today.
