Hey all.

I would have written a story, but I'd much rather read them and review with the little bit of free time that I have.

A little about me incase any of you actually care:

I'm 24. I'm a woodworker and spend each and every day making cabinets and furniture in the shop I work for and spend my evenings attempting to make sculpture. I went to college for Sculpture and Craft and Material Studies with a focus in woodworking and casting (glass, metal, sugar, etc.). I also play a bunch of stringed instruments, but my love is my violin. I've been in a relationship with her for about 13 years. I love to read, but I am a bit dyslexic and it takes a little too much out of me to write. I've been getting into poetry though, very cathartic. I'm more into reading non-fiction or mystery, but I have always been reading fanfiction since I was about 12 when I saw my first anime, finished it, and desperately missed the characters. A good friend of mine introduced me to the site and we bonded a bunch over different stories we'd find but eventually she grew tired of anime/manga and fanfiction. I'm hooked like its a drug and I've come to terms with my inner nerd and embrace it. Most of the stories I read are hurt/comfort and angst. I love watching a character struggle with some sort of issue and how they come out of it with the help of another. I specifically read these types of stories because they are what first help me though my addictions. If I hadn't have read these sorts of stories and understood that other people my age were dealing with similar issues, then I probably wouldn't be around today. These stories were the catalyst toward me asking for help and letting someone in. That being said, FanFiction and its community have a very special place in my heart. It does sometimes act as a trigger, but I believe it's better to read about these things and live vicariously through the characters rather than partake IRL. I'm old enough to know what sort of trouble that gets me into.

I may write a story someday, but right now I want to be a little selfish and be driven rather than drive.

Just know that you all have my unyielding support.

On another note, if you ever need to talk to someone about what you're going though please don't hesitate to message me. I'm not on often, but I will always respond to a message when I get on. I'm sorry for those of you that are dealing with something heavy - speaking from experience, it blows. Just know that you have someone by your side willing to help.
