Welcome to the domain of Kyugan

So yeah, with the loss of my pen-drive, containing YEARS of brain-farts that some of you have called fiction and now the recent loss of my Screen I figured it was time for a bit of a clean slate.

Favourite Manga/Anime & reasons behind them.

A Certain Series of Fiction: Mostly covers the mis-adventures of Kamijou Toma and the side-stories based on the Misaka 'Railgun' Mikoto' and Accelerator. Personally I'd have sent Index back to England after all the shit that went down but Toma just can't say no can he?

Buso Renkin: A surprising little series from the creator of Rurouni Kenshin, with a few shout-outs to it's predecessor here and there. I especially love how the anime pretty much followed the manga's plot entirely, the only deviation is when the squad sent after Kazuki fought Victor but that wasn't too bad.

Chibi Vampire/Karin: A cute little series that is by far a better love story than Twilight. Whether it be the Manga, Anime or the Light Novels, the misadventures of the little blood-maker, her family and boyfriend will steal your heart, and you blood!

Code Geass: I never thought it'd be possible to fall in love, but then I stumbled across JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Lol, but in all seriousness watching Lelouch's rebellion was a hell of the trip, culminating in his finally usurping the throne. What? there are more episodes after 21? Poor fools, those aren't canon.

Dragonball/Z/Super: All around heavyweight champ of the anime-verse, the only aspect I like out of GT is Super Saiyan 4, so you can imagine how gleeful I was when Super came along and pretty much rendered GT non-canon. Unless they go with a 'Memory wipe' ending, in which case I call BULLSHIT.

Flame of Recca: An interesting series by the author who went on to write M.A.R (Marchen Awakens Romance), that I'm kinda hoping gets a reboot, as the anime didn't even cover half the bat-shit crazy that showed up in later arcs. Won't hold my breath though.

Fullmetal Alchemist: One of the all-time Anime Greats, I highly recommend BOTH anime series & their respective movies/OVAs to first time anime viewers, mostly because the first series does a decent job of bringing the novels to life.

Hellsing: Count 'Fuck Mothering' Dracula vs Crazy Catholic Priests & FUCKING NAZI VAMPIRES, what more need be said? Both the Original Series, Ultimate OVAs and Team Four Star versions are a must watch for me.

Highschool DxD: As annoying as Issei can be, he's still a better protagonist than some and at the very least he sticks to his guns and improves as the series progresses. Plus it's fun to make fun of him whenever things go pear-shaped.

Is it Wrong to try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?: Yes. Yes it is and Bell should be ashamed of himself. But then what do expect from a kid who grew up with Zeus as a Grandfather? (Which technically makes Hestia Bell's Great-Aunt, as she's Zeus' Eldest Sibling). Still a good series.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Time favorite, hand's down. When I heard it was getting a proper Anime Series I near died. Sure it can get a little (VERY) overly (EXPLICITLY) Flamboyant, but I will Stand Proud to defend it. Also, despite some confusion, THIS series inspired the Persona Series & Shaman King.

Konosuba: Arguably one of my favorite Isekai stories, if only because it takes the literally piss out of popular, well-established gaming tropes, like Slimes being a credible threat instead of the weakest enemy, and Orcs being an entirely female race who capture men instead of vice-versa (poor Kazuma).

Log Horizon: The initial draw of this series was it's similarity to the dot.Hack premise, rather than SAO. And I have to admit I like the world of Log Horizon more than SAO, both for the scope, lore and the fact it doesn't just focus on one main character all the time.

Love Hina: During my College years, this was the first Manga I devoted myself to completing, possibly due to being able to relate to Keitaro's desire to get into a good university...if not the reasons why. Also, they really needed to develop Kitsune's character more. just saying.

Naruto: When I first bought volume 1 of this series, I never imagined how ridiculously popular it would become. Seriously, Naruto is basically the Fanfiction Community Bicycle at this point, surpassed only by Harry Potter (I checked, HP has 777k fics to Naruto's 419K, excluding crossovers).

Negima: I only really got into this series because it was written by Love Hina creator Ken Akamatsu-sensei. As I got older the sheer absurdity of it all began to jade my perceptions. Seriously the kid was pretty much perfect save for specific flaws. A decent action series if you ignore the rampant pedophilia.

Overlord: Admittedly, my original interest in this series was due to it sharing a name with the Overlord Franchise of games. That being said, the series quickly grew on me, to the point I'm eagerly awaiting Season 2 of the anime, which was recently announced.

Re:Zero: I'm just going to come right out and say it: I don't like Tsubaru. I mean, don't get me wrong, his treatment of Rem aside, I do feel pity for his situation but the way he acted in parts of the story just made me want to go 'seriously man, wtf?'. Still an interesting premise.

Rising of the Shield Hero: It's nice to see an 'Isekai' series where the protagonist isn't a naive idiot. Or at least doesn't remain one, as Naofumi quickly learns that being summoned into this parallel world isn't like games or fiction portray it.

Rurouni Kenshin: No strange, laser/ki techniques, that there are not. Just good old fashioned sword fighting of godlike proportions, that there is. Seriously if you want a good mix of historical drama, comedy & action, you could do worse than to stop by the Kamiya Kashinryu Dojo. Bring your own food.

RWBY: Cute girls kicking ass with weapons reminiscent of Bloodborne? (And Yes I know it came out before the game did) Sign me up. Here's hoping season 5 doesn't end like Season 3.

Sailor Moon: Now I'm a manly man. I like meat, casual violence & communicating in monosyllables. So when I say I like a series where underage Japanese schoolgirls transform into scanty outfits to fight for love & Justice, I really have no excuse. And no it isn't about the (MONUMENTAL AMOUNTS OF) porn!

Samurai Deeper Kyo: With the exception of Love Hina this was the only series from Tokyopop I really gave much attention to. So you can imagine my disdain when the Anime series came out and just pretty much took a shit on everything that was good about the Manga.

Shadow Skill: I've pretty much given up all hope of ever getting to read the entire manga series by this point. Ah well, at least the Anime kicks as much ass as the characters.

Sword Art Online: I first got into this series because it reminded me of the dot.Hack franchise, and while I'll admit it did drag a bit in parts, with Kirito essentially becoming the living meme Jesus-Kun (shoutout to gigguk), I still rather enjoy the series, especially the progressive manga/novels.

The Devil is a Part-Timer: Satan tries to get back home while holding down a Job and cleaning up after his mortal enemy whose 'holy' allies are not so squeaky clean as they'd like people to believe. What's not to love?

Type-Moon: As in, any manga/anime series in any way related to Type-Moon. Every time they announce a new anime project, I clear my schedule for it's release date. Shame Grand/Order is mobile only.

U/Q Holder: Akamatsu-sensei draws me in again with the 'sequel' to Negima. Thankfully, Touta seems a bit more relate-able than his uber-powered 'Grandfather' though I'm already beginning to see the tropes popping in.

XXX Holic: More mysticism and comedy than the beloved women of CLAMP have ever put out before.

Yugioh: I loved this show as a kid & still collect the Cards when I get the chance. That being said the Manga was better, especially for GX. I never really got into 5D's or Zexal but from what I can see the anime & Manga for both weren't bad at all.

Yu Yu Hakusho: What Bleach SHOULD have been like. No I'm not going to take that back. Sure Bleach had it's cool moments but the level of bullshit just got way out of control, especially when the Quincey-Nazis showed up. Seriously, fuck the Vanden-shite arc. The series ended with Ichigo getting his powers back.

Repetitive work, can't get into a rut.

The fact that some butthurt Naru-saku fans actually had the nerve to start a petition DEMANDING Kishimoto change the ending so Naruto marries Sakura. Seriously?!
