- Hermione Granger

Call him Voldermort, Harry. Always yse the proper name for things. Fear of the name increases fear of the thing itself.

- J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

Harry Potter:

In Rememberence to Severus Snape,
a Slytherin who died like a Gryffindor,
without all the red and gold crap.

In Rememberence to Fred Weasley,
who fought bravely to the very end,
and whose jokes will forever brighten his other half,
and with loyalty await his brother,
with many jokes,
he's got forever to think of them, right?

In Rememberence to Dobby,
who was more free and full of love,
than any elf, and most humans.

In Rememberence to Remus J. Lupin,
the last REAL Marauder,
who was not just a wonderful father,
an incredible husband and a brave hero,
as well as a wicked werewolf.

In Rememberence to Nymphadora Tonks,
who died for the greater good,
and will probably hex me for calling her Nymphadora.

In Rememberence to Alastor "Mad-Eye" Moody,
Who's motto "Constant Vigilance" kept him alive for so long.

In Rememberence to Colin Creevey,
who we really don't know too well,
but took a lot of pictures and died fighting in a war,
so he must have done something good...
besides stalking Harry.

In Rememberence to Albus Dumbledore,
whose past and wisdom confused us,
whose seeming betrayal shocked us,
but who actually turned out to be an okay guy in the end.

In Rememberance to Hedwig,
Harry's first real friend,
who lived and died soaring.

Who is Who

Draco Malfoy: "The Boy Who Had No Chocie"

Rants On Things

LETS TALK ABOUT (1) Arrowverse:

Arrowverse (Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, Batwoman)
I was interested in Arrow mainly because during the time I needed a new show to watch and that was at the end of their Season 4. And it was at a good point to watch it. But to be completely honest the Arrowvers as a hole t has its ups and downs but I'm not giving up on it fully, I will rewacht it and see how I like it. The shows can be worth watching sometimes, if the storylines are compelling enough but the shows, but whenmainly Arrow and Supergirl), often push political agenda and all the shows can often turn into boring soap opera drama about relationships (and in these cases, these relationships are the negatives of the show), when it should be more about action, mainly The Flash due to WestAllen, a pairing of which I do not approve, and Supergirl sometimes with many relationship dramas.

While the drama in The Flash was toned down in Season 6 and Iris became 15% more tolerable, I'm sour about her saying that she doesn't care about the fact that her and Barry's daughter worked with Thawne, despite knowing what he had done, not caring that Thawne killed Barry's mother, plus Barry destroying the Speed Force because of using the Spectre's energy in Crisis on Infinite Earths was obviously more hate for Oliver and Barry.

Legends of Tomorrow is amusing in its own way but kind of ridiculous and one thing I am annoyed by that it often reminds of Sara's attraction to girls, which is annoying and pushing more LGBT agenda, (NOT SAYING THAT I AM AGAINST THE LGBT I AM FULLY BEHIND SINCE MY BEST AND FIRST FRIEND IS A BISEXUAL!!!!) I am trying to say not throw it in my face every episode but in the crossover of Crisis on Earth X I did think it was necessary for Sara to say that to Evil Lance but not do it like in the beginning of Season 2.

And her having a clone as a girlfriend since Season 3 is just so freaking weird and the writers keep shoving Sara / Ava down our throats, which is annoying beyond measure. I like the couple just stop shoving it down our throats.LoT was fun the first two seasons, now it's average at best and Season 4 of Legends of Tomorrowwas gradually losing steam until it became too boring for me to care about it, since the plot was becoming more and more stupid and ridiculous and Sara in LoT is not as how she was initially introduced into Arrow and the show ruined one of my favorite female characters on the entire Arrowverse, since Sara cares more about screwing her clone girlfriend, rather than her friends and family, which I see as assassination of Sara's character. Arrowverse often does fan service pandering to a small but very vocal group of fans and some storylines are repetitive and boring and they push political agenda into the shows.

Plus, the comedic aspect is since Season 4 too much over the top that it often ruins the main characters by making them look like idiots or puts them and the villains into too ridiculous situations that it is stupid and pathetic, at least from my point of view. And I hate the the got rid of Amaya who was like Sara in Arrow, and that shapeshifter really why. I loved Nate / Amaya. And the stuff with the "Fates", just why.

Arrow, okay I am going to say this I don't hate Olicity since I feel the show had a good thing going with Felicity but I thought they were going to write her better. In Season 1 was good, Season 2 had potential maybe after her and The Count, Doll Maker, Slade she would be more independent and even a hero or see the world a not in Black and White but in Grey but no no. Season 3 we got her over her crush on Oliver or trying to and her trying to move on with Ray but Oliver was bring her back in the folds because he would not admit help from someone with his PTSD which he, Barry, Sara, Kara, and others need to fix their problems. But back to Arrow like why, and no falut to Felicity but Ray you know that she has no idea how to run a company so why put her as the head of it.

I was willing to give at least Season 1 of Batwoman a chance but it is trying to push a bit of feministic/lesbian political agenda with hate against men, but it hasn't been too bad. Kate ticked me off however by saying that she was not trying to provide hope unlike Batman and how she keeps letting Alice go to murder more innocent is stupid. While she did manage to get Alice locked up later post-Crisis due to both Alice and Kate's sister Beth around, who later died, it's stupid how she keeps giving pass to Alice for murdering innocents or how Kate lets Alice get away because Alice outsmarts Kate at every turn, making her look like an incapable idiot. Plus, casting Warren Christie, the guy, who played jackass surgeon Carter Bowen in Arrow 1x06, him of all people as Bruce? One of the times, when CW "recycling and re-casting" actors into different roles from their previous shows is stupid beyond words.

And back to the political agenda this is TV I need a break from the really world let me watch TV so I can take. break.

Frankly, Arrowverse is dead after COIE and end of Arrow. Leviathan is a worldwide threat, yet Kara doesn't call the JL to take it down. Freeland was invaded by a foreign country for a while, yet the JL didn't show up to help Black Lightning out. Also, Barry and Kara are best friends, yet they don't see each other that often, despite that they could very easily due to their powers, considering they live on the same Earth now.

In MCU, they always at least give a reason as to why the other heroes aren't helping out during the solo film of a hero, so it is shared universe, and stuff happening in one film has consequences in others, unlike Arrowverse shows and the franchise has definitely gone to crap after COIE, since frankly, the Earths merging into one seems pointless, even more, considering that in the post-Crisis timeline we got more bad than good.

That is evidently shown in The Flash, where Hartley had stayed a villain because of the Crisis changes, even though he was redeemed in 6x18. Plus, all the Wellses dead, except for Nash is stupid, since they and Jesse could have been brought back to life but no. Harry, HR, Sherloque and other Wellses deserve better than ending up in the head of an inferior Wells. Pre-Crisis Nash wasn't that bad but him starting the Crisis by letting Anti-Monitor out left me sour on him but Post-Crisis Nash after learning his backstory felt more compelling and Thawne briefly possessing Nash felt amusing, but it's stupid that Thawne didn't show up in the Crisis, considering all that buildup in the past seasons and what's even more annoying that due to coronavirus, Season 6 ended up without the planned Thawne cliffhanger. The only reason I'm gonna watch Season 7 of The Flash is because of Thawne and Season 6 of Supergirl because of Lex, since quite frankly, the Arrowverse died with Arrow and Oliver.

LETS TALK ABOUT (2) Harry Potter:

Why I think the school might hate Harry, Ron, Dumbledore

1. I think it's unfair when Harry get's what is supposed to be the fastet quidditch broom and it's really unfair since everyone will know who will win.

The Weasleys

Okay I think the canon youngest Weasleys and their mother are not very likable characters. The twins, Bill, Charlie and Arthur are good people & Percy has a lot of redemption possibilities, but ickle ronniekins and ickle gin-gin? No thank you.

As portrayed by canon, he is a jealous, immature jerk, whose only emotional reaction is to lash out and try to hurt those around him. He only thinks of himself and what he will or won't get out of a given situation. Let's face it folks, he is a jerk. Has been since book 1. What would you call a boy you go to school with who is always making a girl cry who he calls his friend? I'd call him a jerk, wouldn't you? I get it some boys when they are little tease girls, others, and then speaks without thinking but he conntinue to do so through out the books is just really rude.

There are far too many circumstances to note, but trust me; he's a redheaded waste of flesh, magic and an overall oxygen thief.

One other thing. Ron's greatest desire is to be combined Quidditch Captain and Head Boy so that he can outshine his brothers, right? So why didn't he study hard to make good grades? Why did he snark at Hermione about studying? He is an ass.

And he is so jealous of Harry and the "Boy-Who-Lived" well he forgot that Harry's Parents were killed to gain that title and he lives though Abuse?

Why didn't he or twins tell their family about the abuse?

She's a scary fan-girl who has carried on the fantasy dreams of childhood into her teen years unchecked. (Reference her parting words to Harry at the end of book 6. What is that?)

Something that was pointed out in a FF that I read sometime back really disturbed me. At the beginning of Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry overhears Molly Weasley telling Ginny and Hermione that she 'got Arthur's attention' through the use of a love potion. The response from all three is giggling and laughter. How incredibly disturbing that JKR thought the situation amusing. It's amazing that she thought that a mother ought to tell her 12 year old daughter and a 13 year old girl that it is an appropriate course of action to use a mind controlling substance on a boy you fancy. Incredible. Look for it (POA Ch 5 pg 69-70).

Molly's protestations that 'he's as good as my son' in the beginning of book 5 were also jarring for me. He'd stayed with the Weasley's for a few weeks prior to second year, one day prior to third year and another few weeks prior to fourth year. So to be generous, he's spent a month with the family. How can Harry be 'as good as' a son in that period of time over three years? Again, very odd. I find it hard to warm up to a fear driven controlling character with the above mention 'flaws'.

What about the Abuse? Why didn't she say anythng, or do anything?

Of all the tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupididty may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. C.S. Lewis (1898-1963)

Well I don't know how to explaine this character. What an incredibly conflicting and confusing character. Either he's the product of a literary genius or of a person who didn't think through all the ramifications of decisions about her character. Unfortunately, I think it's the latter.

On the one hand, he's the leader of the light. He defeated a terrible dark lord (Grindlewald) and led the charge against another (Voldemort). He has a phoenix companion (major plus in the 'light' column) and seems to really care about people (could be an act, though).

On the other hand, he knowingly sent a baby into an abusive environment, completely abnegated his responsiblities as Chief Warlock and Supreme Mugwump (that's a five day discussion unto itself), see he is the Chief Warlock and Supreme Mugwump plus a headmaster what dose he really do, intentionally set up a young man for a suicidal self-sacrifice without warning or preparing him (Harry with that ridiculous horcrux inside him), allowed a sadist to abuse his student population (Snape), allowed for substandard teaching in his school (History, Muggle Studies, Divination and Potions), and routinely failed to protect his students from harm.

"...Dumbledore will happily betray the innocent in the hopes of saving the guilty." (Sprinter 1988)

Is it self indulgent guilt that drives Albus to go to any lengths in his attempts to save those who've chosen badly (Snape, Draco Malfoy et al)? Is he still swamped with shame for his behavior with Grindlewald and the subsequent death of his beloved sister? Is it a case of transference wherein the aged mage is attempting to save himself through these others and is therefore blinded to their dedication to their choices? He himself wouldn't persist in true evil, that much is a given. Albus Dumbledore is many things in canon, but he is definitively not evil. Therefore, the options are simple: he's a simpleton with an overly optimistic outlook on life (not likely), he's filled with guilt shame and remorse over his past bad behavior and by extension that of his father (very likely) or he's an idiot (not possible). I tink Albus is a man that hold a lot of guilt but he has on goal in mind and dosn't care what is in his path.

I'm sure that there are many other reasons, but regardless of his motivation, AD's persistent attempts to salvage all those who could be saved continuously puts the innocent into danger. He sacrifices the students of Gryffindor, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff on the altar of not alienating Slytherin house.

I'm very confused regarding the inconsistencies regarding Dumbledore and child abuse. When the elder Dumbledore brother's beloved sister was assaulted and traumiitzed at the age of six, it effectively destroyed the family. Their father's rage fueled response sent him to Azkaban for the balance of his life. Their mother was eventually killed in a magical accident caused by her damaged daughter and the young brothers were required to fill a role they were far too immature to perform. All this (I would think) would have filled Albus and most likely Aberforth with a deep abhorrence of child abuse. Yet, during the infamous exit interview with Harry at the end of Order of the Phoenix, Albus tells Harry that he knew he was leaving the then baby Harry in a potentially abusive environment ("...ten dark and difficult years..."). The two don't mix.

Based on the behavioural evidence, the man is a dark lord. Yet, there's that pesky phoenix...

I like the Hermione Granger character. There's a few...issues...with the JKR original, though. The most glaring issue is her parents. No, it's not the lack of names for them (Dan and Emma anyone?) but rather their complete lack of involvment in their daughter's life. She's an only child, who's had little to no peer relationships prior to starting Hogwarts, so 'Dan and Emma' should not only be her parents, but also her friends and playmates.

Yet, the Hermione character shows up during the hols to spend weeks before fourth year, most of the hols before fifth year, the Christmas hols during fifth year, time during the summer hols before sixth year...all that time was away from her parents. Parents who never see her during the school year. I think that this lack of presence by 'Dan and Emma' is not reflective upon the characters of Hermione's off screen parents, but more a function of JKR treating her characters as means to an end as opposed to imaginative persons who she brings to life. To wit; 'I need Hermione to collaboratively isolate Harry at the Headmaster's request all the while inciting his rage when Harry finally shows up at Headquarters, so I'll have her stay at Grimmauld Place for the summer'. This is in complete contravention of much of the Hermione character's stated beliefs about her parents, especially when discussing her muggle parents with Ron. For there to be consistency in the Hermione characer (gasp!), then Hermione wouldn't have spent so much of her free time with her friends, she would've wanted to be with her parents.

Bad JKR for piss poor writing.

Harry Potter:

I like them they fit togther. Hermione is the genius out of the trio. She is Harry's anchor to reality and sanity. The young woman who always kept him on the side of right. Ron and Ginny gave into Harry's whims and flights of fancy but Hermione was always willing to question him when he needed to be challenged.
