I'm new to writing, but felt inspired by the idea of making Edward more melodramatic, awful and yet inexplicably loveable.

Edward and Bella don't have that many character traits or outside interests in the original canon, they're kind of blank slates and that explains some of the success of the books. I wanted to see what happens when they realise they don't really know who they are and set out to find out. So Bella finds she has a backbone and is endlessly patient, Edward discovers what it means to grow and become a better vampire.

I hope you like my fic, find it funny and perhaps even moving or romantic at times. I am very grateful to anyone who is kind enough to read it and especially to those of you who are wonderful enough to leave a review!
