If you have only time and/or desire to read only one more fanfic, read this one:

The Broken Orrery by CymbalinesHalo

It has the most amazing worldbuilding, character descriptions and POV of the characters.

It is truly wonderful. Fandom is Final Fantasy VII but is does not follow game or canon and you don't need to know any of this to enjoy the story.

BUT it is truly heartbreaking to me that some truly wonderful stories have less than 100 likes even -like the one I am reading right now.

So DO give these a chance !!!

The first FF7 story I ever stumbled over I read not knowing anything about the fandom and enjoyed and loved it despite that (it's another one though)

My second fandom is MCU, Loki to be precise, though I have for now (2023) lost interest in him, sadly so all my ideas for stories I could have written will never be written, I now do understand authors who abandon stories, you need to have a love for the fandom/character to be inspired to write.

And, so far, I did not try to write fanfiction, I have written a couple of original short stories and poems years and years ago, and "dream" of writing fanfiction if I ever find the time.

Original/old profile, before winter 2023:

I would have to say I loved Loki all my life.

From the nordic legends of my childhood, over the novels by Joanne Harris to the opera to finally the MCU. The comics I never came across.

I always loved him, wanted to help him, to protect him, wanted things to turn out good for him, even as a child I found the gods of the legends cruel and unfair towards him, hated every time he ended up beaten and hurt, the gods using his help but never really acknowledging or crediting him or being grateful, when he rescued them out of more predicaments he brought them into. Which were a fair amount but he always tried to help and he occasionally couldn't help following his nature, one can't blame him for that.

I think as a child you really have to love him, being a child of chaos and ending up scolded and punished for innocent wrongdoings.

In case of interest, the very delightful books by Joanne Harris are: Runemarks, Loki, Odin and a girl on an adventure. Runelight, sequel to Runemarks. The Gospel of Loki, Lokis Version of the Edda. Loki as narrator. The Testament of Loki, Loki shares the body of a mortal girl. Two minds one body and she hates it. Loki as narrator. I really can recommend these books so very much if you love Loki.

The mentioned Opera is Rheingold by Richard Wagner, Loki is a major character there and very much the trickster.

Should I one day have time to write down the many stories invading my daydreams, they will be about Loki.
