I am a HUGE fan of You, both the Netflix series and the books by Caroline Kepnes that originally inspired the idea for the TV show. Nobody does writing in second person point of view as well as Kepnes. Although the second person point of view can very difficult to sustain, it can be used to great effect by writers like Kepnes to make the reader feel like an active participant in the story. I wanted to challenge myself by writing in the second person point of view, and the You series was the perfect fit for me to experiment with this style of writing.
