It's about time I updated this..

I'm 27 now... I'm getting old! I'm 17 at heart! I watch too much TV.

Current Obsession: Veronica Mars

One Tree Hill used to be my favorite show and the fandom that hooked me into FanFiction. However, season 6 made me so mad, I no longer claim OTH as my favorite show.

I am still a huge Brooke Davis fan. I ship first Brucas, then Brulian. Actually, I never thought I could hate anyone as much as I hated Lucas and Peyton, but alas... leave it to Mark Schwan to find ways to butcher his own characters and find reasons for me to hate them: I can't stand the sight of Julian. He is worse than Lucas. Watching Julian now, and I actually excuse Lucas' behavior, he was young after all. Shame on Julian, he should know better. I also hate storylines that take up valuable airtime (i.e., Mia and Chase, Skills and Jamie time, Grubs, etc).

I can't get myself to read anything Leyton, with the exception of some really great Brulian stories out there that need that pairing for other purposes. Yet, even in Brulian stories I really don't like to see Lucas happy with anyone else than Brooke. Can't quite break the habit. Plus, I really dislike Lucas, and I feel he deserves a little heartache after realizing that he made a huge mistake.

After OTH broke my fragile little heart last year, I turned to Gossip Girl. And I love it... maybe it's because I'm from New York, or maybe it's just Chair!. Chuck and Blair are the best couple in Television - both equally flawed, and extremely charming. As opposed to many of the other leading men and ladies, they are both awesome and interesting characters (in my many years as a teenage drama fan, it's been a constant that one of the members of the couple I ship becomes annoying and insufferable - i.e., Joey in DC, Lucas in OTH, etc, thus relaying all the heavy lifting on their better half: Pacey, Brooke, etc.)

I had a Smallville. moment last year, but I realized I hate it this year. I can't stand Clois, and the only reason I really like the show is because of Chloe. I only ship Chlark (Chloe and Clark). There's something really admirable about Chloe's loyalty to Chlark, even when she's had to repress so much of her feelings to keep it up. I think I really identify with Chloe and I'm always rooting for her- she is an amazing character, and half the show, if you ask me (who cares about Mythos!!).

Ah, Veronica Mars. Yes, I JUST discovered it last summer, during hiatus. I was not looking for a new obsession, just a show to fill the void of all new episodes from my favorite shows. What can I say...Strong female lead, a steamy romance and very witty dialogue does it for me... I was instantly hooked! The pilot itself had so many hooks... and it even took a while to get to the best part: LOGAN!

I like Veronica as a character, do love female characters that can hold their own, I've always hated the damsels in distress that need constant attention, maybe because I can't relate to them. I like Veronica because her moral compass is not that great, and screwing up is part of who she is. However, I will say that she became a bit too full of herself during the last season, too arrogant. I did not like her at all in the episodes that lead to the finale.

I love Logan. Yes, he is fiery, possesive, misguided, but let's not forget all he's been through. I admire him for surviving all the destruction in his life. I'm a huge LoVe fan. I hate Piz, and Veronica a bit too. She was so mean to Logan. I also resent Keith for opening up to Piz so quickly and dismissing Logan. While far from perfect, Logan did love Veronica... too much, if you ask me.

The show ended so abruptly, though. At first I felt cheated... I had devoted time to it, and did not get any closure when it ended! I can't even imagine those of you who invested years watching the show. Yet, it's over 6 months later, and I'm still obsessing over it, trying to find quality fics that will help me get closure.

I now read mostly VM fics, and I like realistic, quality fics. Nothing out of character or too fluffy, and only LoVe stories. So recommend away!
