My name is Cindy and I'm from California. I try my best to update but you should know sometimes I have to focus on my studies and that takes time, though I am glad to say that Vampires, Werewolves, and Mermaids is being updated more frequently now.

Valentine for a Friend

Thoughts of affection fill my mind
When Valentine's Day is near;
I think about my closest friends,
Those who are most dear.

And on that Special Valentine's Day list,
You are at the top my friend,
I can say this fore sure
Our friendship will never end.

A Friend Like You

Everyone should have
a friend like you
You are so much fun to be with
And you are such a good person
You crack me up with laughter
And touch my heart with your kindness

You have a wonderful ability
To know when to offer advice
And when to sit in quiet support

Time after Time
You've come to my rescue
And brighten so many
Of my routine days

And time after time
I've realized how fortunate
I am that my life includes you!

I really do believe that
Everybody can have a friend like you
But so far it looks like
You are one of a kind!

The Song of the Wandering Aengus: by William Butler Yeats

I went out to the hazel wood,
Because a fire was in my head
And cut and peeled a hazel wand,
And hooked a berry to a thread;
And when white moths were on the wing,
And moth-like stars were flickering out,
I dropped the berry in a stream
And caught a little silver trout.

When I had laid it on the floor
I went to blow the fire aflame,
But something rustled on the floor,
And someone called my name:
It had become a glimmering girl
With apple blossom in her hair
Who called me by my name and ran
And faded through the brightening air.

Though I am old with wandering
Through hollow lands and hilly lands,
I will find out where she has gone,
And kiss her lips and take her hands;
And walk among long dappled grass,
And pluck till time and times are done
The silver apples of the moon,
The golden apples of the sun.

Annabel Lee: by Edgar Allen Poe

It was many and many a year ago,
In a kingdom by the sea,
That a maiden there lived whom you may know
By the name of Annabel Lee;-
And this maiden she lived with no other thought
Than to love and to be loved by me.

I was a child and she was a child,
In this kingdom by the sea,
But we loved with a love that was more than love-
I and my Annabel Lee-
With a love that the winged seraphs of Heaven
Coveted her and me.

And this was the reason that, long ago,
In this kingdom by the sea,
A wind blew out of a cloud, chilling
My beautiful Annabel Lee;
So that her high-born kinsman came
And bore her away from me,
To shut her up in a sepulcher
In this kingdom by the sea.

The angels, not half so happy in Heaven,
Went envying her and me-
Yes!-that was the reason (as all men know,
In this kingdom by the sea)
That the wind came out of the cloud by night,
Chilling and killing my Annabel Lee.

But our love it was stronger by far than the love
Of those who were older than we-
Of many far wiser than we-
And neither angels in the Heaven above,
Nor the demons down under the sea,
Can ever dissever my soul from the soul
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee:-

For the moon never beams, without bringing me dreams
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee,
And the stars never rise, but I feel the bright eyes
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee;-
And so, all the night-tide, I lie down by the side
Of my darling-my darling-my life and my bride,
In the sepulcher there by the sea-
In her tomb by the sounding sea.

Echoes-Nedici

Shards of rainbows spent,
Weeping from a tear drop rent
Left by shadow's scent; Suckle withering horns
Blossoming of nimbus thorns,
Silent rising tide;
Ghosting of rose petals bride, heart that never died.

We Live as Clouds- BlackDahlia911

You know how the dark scares me, so you collected a jar of fireflies and fairies wings to keep near me as I slept.
[ I called you my night-light, but you were really me all-the-time light because without you everything went opaque]
You used to call me Ariel and tell me stories of mermaids and seahorses. I went on journeys through the words that escaped passed your lips.
I could listen to you forever, because your voice was tangy and tangible like the summer heat.

[ Summer was my favorite season, because I could see your freckles on your face and the sun in your eyes]

Purple and red petals sprinkled through the air, falling from rain clouds with touches of pure silence. When we were together, no words were necessary because we talked through movements and wind.

[ Your heart was warm enough to erase the nippy air from mine]

We could have destroyed the whole world with the power of our love, maybe even the whole galaxy. But by a brush of fate, we both fell to heaven and live as the spirits and myths that keep romance alive.

[ We are forever young]

Excerpt: Jane Eyre Chapter 10 page 110-111

I learned that Miss Temple, on returning to her own room at dawn, had found me laid in a little crib, my face against Helen Burn's shoulder, my arms round her neck. I was asleep, and Helen was-dead.
Her grave is in Brocklebridge Churchyard: for fifteen years after her death it was only covered by a grassy mound; but now a gray marble tablet marks the spot, inscribed with her name, and the word 'Resurgam'.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way-. -A Tale of Two Cities, Chapter 1 page 1.
