Hi, everyone, The Layman speaking. I don't really have much to say, (in keeping with the whole Lemony Snicket complex I have going), but I'll try to think of some appropriate information I can share.

Let's see here...I have a Facebook. (It's here: TheLaymanWriter) It's where I post updates about my stories, as well as other other things I find interesting or relevant. I also have a mascot: a plushy version of Yang Xiao-Long from RWBY called Gigi. Also, consider checking out my Twitch channel: search "the_layman" and look for the plushy Yang. Oh, here's some info about me...

Name; The Layman. (Like I said, Lemony Snicket complex.)

Age; Equal to or greater than drinking age.

Gender; Male, no questions there.

Eye color; What do you care?

Hair color; see previous.

Favorite music; Metal, Electronic, Dubstep, Hard Rock, Classic rock, Arena Rock, and occasionally a pop song if it strikes my fancy.

Favorite movies; Star Wars, Star Trek, Iron Man I, Alien (Original), Up (but pretty much anything made by Disney/Pixar), The Mummy/The Mummy Returns, Jurrasic Park/The Lost World, Pan's Laryrinth, and many more.

Favorite viseo games; Gears of War (series), Guitar Hero (series), Rock Band 2, DJ Hero, Portal, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (series), Fallout 3, Borderlands, Kindom Hearts 2, InFamous, Batman: Arkahm Asylum, Assassin's Creed (series), and many others.

Favorite Manga and Anime; Bleach, Hellsing Ultimate, Rosario Vampire, Blood Plus, The Melencholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Higurashi; no Naku Koro ni, Ruroni Kenshin, Fullmetal Alchemist, Death Note, Inuyasha, and many more. Also, check out http:///. It's pretty much an online manga, but I like it. (If you like cute heroines and seatdrops galore, give this one a look.)

For those interested, I'm going to be rebooting my story Angels on Atlantis, since I have a better, more concrete idea of what I want ot do with it. I'll still keep the other one up for those who are following it, but if you're interested in the reboot then it should be appearing around mid December, after New Year's at the latest.

Now, here's a list of my ongoing stoties...,

Battle Royale: Vixen's Den-Discontinued.

Cold Fuzz-finished.

Elfen MENT
-indefinite hiatus..

The Pwnage of Haruhi Suzumiya- indefinite hiatus.

Angel on Atlantis-ongoing (under new management).

And because no Otaku is complete without one, here are my Top 10 Favoriet Anime/Manga of All Time Ever.

1. Fullmetal Alchemist: Bortherhood

Arguably one of the greatest manga ever produced, FMAB does what the first Fullmetal Alchemist anime should have done and stick to the manga story. Everything about it is phenomenal: the story, the English voice acting, satisfying action, and the best opening and ending songs in any Anime EVAR. An absolute must see for any serious Otaku.

2. Afro Samurai

A nigh invincible Black samurai with a monstrous afro out for vengeance with a wisecracking sidekick, both voiced by Samuel L. Jackson? EFF. YES. That alone should be reason enough to check this one out. Oh yeah, Ron Pearlman voices the main antagonist, and all the music is done by The RZA. That too.

3. Hellsing Ultimate

Everything about this is the antithesis of Twilight: brutal violence, little to no romance, and one of the most [censor]mothering Vampires ever to exist since Bram Stoker's Dracula (which the series draws most its' inspiration from). Like FMAB, there was a short anime that diverged from the manga, which Ultimate fixed with its' release. (Oh yeah, and Crispin Freeman as Alucard. 'Nuff said.)

4. Ah!/Oh! My Goddess

Despite a slightly shaky beginning voicewise, everything about Ah! My Goddess radiates with the passion of the dev team that animated it. Conversely, the manga was one of the first I ever read and it has never gotten old to this day. Either has my shinning recommendation.

5. Ruroni Kenshin

More than anything else, this is my absolute favorite manga of all freaking time! Watsuki-sensei just has one of the greatest senses of humor in manga, and it shows even through all the flaws (that he freely admits to.) The anime isn't quite as good as the manga, with numerous filler stories and a third season that completely diverges from the manga. If the anime was a little better it was be higher on the list, but as it is it's still my favorite manga ever.

6. Fairy Tail

The anime for this hands down has some of the best score EVER in anime (go check out Erza no Theme if you don't believe me). Every single fiber of the manga is teeming with personality and character, and Hiro Mashima's humor is a serious contender for runner up to Watsuki-sensei's. If I tried to list everything awesome about this series we'd be here 'til next week. Go read this this now!

7. Bleach

It's Dragonball Z with swords, let's face it, and there's too much filler in the anime. That aside, it was another manga I picked up early in my career as an Otaku, and it's birthed some of my best work in Fanfiction. Go read Cold Fuzz! (Heh heh, shameless plug...)

8. Blood

Though I'd seen anime before this one, it was this well done spin off of Blood: The Last Vampire that really jump started my love of anime en force. Also, Crispsin Freeman does THREE different voices in it, one of them being a French accent. That alone is worth watching it for.

9. Eden of the East

Probably the only anime on this list that doesn't have anything supernatural or fantastical about it. It's set in contemporary Japan, and the main character is tasked to try and make Japan a better nation along with eleven others. It's a very well done and accessible conspiracy thriller consisting of a twelve episode series and two OVAs that tie everything up.

10. Yu-gi-oh!

This one is a bit of a guilty pleasure, I make no apologies for it! It's just so goofy! 4KidsTM may have butchered it for American consumption, but they did it with style! Dan Green may not be able to sound younger than 30, but he plays a Pharaoh like nobody's business! Also, Yugioh Abridged is hilarious.

In addition to my stories, there are several stories written by other authors that are more than well worth the read. Here are a few...(Be forewarned, some of these might be rated M)
