Hey i'm Steph i'm 20 years old and from Essex in England and i've just finished sitting my A Levels in General Studies, Sociology, Psychology and Philosophy at Braintree College and I am a Student Nurse (started in March 2010) . It's hectic but i love it.

I love to read fanfics that are angsty and or hurt/comfort and mentor fics really the more angst the better :)

I originally turned to FF because I didn't agree with how emotions were dealt with in the Harry Potter books and decided to look elsewhere and a friend suggest fanfiction and voila here I am :) x

I am a recent convert to the Twilight Series after saying for years i didn't see the point and how can you have vegetarian vampires? (lol) I am now a fan and as i have now finished Breaking Dawn i will hopefully start to read crossover fics or just stand alone Twilight fics :) .

To add to this, I have just finished the Vampire Diaries Series (till the next one comes out anyway) and I really enjoyed it, it is quite similar to Twilight but enough differences to make it interesting. As for ships it has to be Elena/Stefan, or Elena//Damon if it is the angsty side of Damon otherwise I am not his biggest fan. Or if it is the TV series (which is only similar to the books in name!) I detest Damon so it is always Elena/Stefan.

To add even more (I'm sorry if you have stuck around to read this, you must be so bored!) lol I have actually fallen in love with Doctor Who. Thanks to my boyfriend saying i needed to watch them and actually nagging me to do it! I have really got interested in the series. As for ships I like Rose/10 but i prefer Martha/10 for one thing I have to listen to the boyfriend moan about Rose so often it has made me like her less and I can kinda see what he means.

I don't really have any favourite ships for Harry Potter, and before i started reading FF I thought that Harry/Ginny and Ron/Hermione were just so perfect and wonderful. But now i adore Harry/Hermione stories they are just adorable together :) But i will still read canon ships and slash if they are well written stories. As for Twilight, it for the moment has to be canon, Bella and Edward are so cute together!

I do try to review all of the stories i read as i don't write stories myself ( i just don't feel i have the talent for it yet... maybe one day) I feel i should contribute something back to the people that can and put themselves and their work out there, but if i miss a story i do apologise and (hopefully!) will get round to reviewing fics i have missed as soon as i remember or have time :) (Nursing placements and theory + Long term Boyfriend = no time for much these days!)

I try to be understanding about mistakes in fics as if you don't have a beta (or even if you do) it can be hard to see mistakes sometimes but it does annoy me when people spell the name of characters wrong in their fics i.e. it's Remus not Ramus or Dumbledore not Dumbledor it's understandable to be once or twice but over and over again shows you haven't taken care with the original author's work if you are not sure check the original text to be sure. However if i do notice these mistakes i do try to be constructive, i really can't stand people who flame stories or who get very personal in their reviews there really is no need for it and some i have seen can be seen as bullying. If an author has taken the time to write their story and bravely put it out there for the world to read and judge you should try and suggest where it could be improved but what was good about their story too give a well rounded review. Anyway rant over :) xxx Also i should just mention that I am English so if you need to check any facts about our culture compared to others to improve your fics, let me know I am more than willing to help.

Anyway if you got through all that well done ;) x

I am the girl kicked out of her home because I confided in my mother that I am a lesbian.
I am the prostitute working the streets because nobody will hire a transsexual woman.
I am the sister who holds her gay brother tight through the painful, tear-filled nights.
We are the parents who buried our daughter long before her time.
I am the man who died alone in the hospital because they would not let my partner of twenty-seven years into the room.
I am the foster child who wakes up with nightmares of being taken away from the two fathers who are the only loving family I have ever had. I wish they could adopt me.
I am not one of the lucky ones. I killed myself just weeks before graduating high school. It was simply too much to bear.
We are the couple who had the Realtor hang up on us when she found out we wanted to rent a one-bedroom for two men.
I am the person who never knows which bathroom I should use if I want to avoid getting the management called on me.
I am the mother who is not allowed to even visit the children I bore, nursed, and raised.
The court says I am an unfit mother because I now live with another woman.
I am the domestic-violence survivor who found the support system grow suddenly cold and distant when they found out my abusive partner is also a woman.
I am the home-economics teacher who always wanted to teach gym until someone told me that only lesbians do that.
I am the woman who died when the EMT stopped treating me as soon as they realized I was transsexual.
I am the person who feels guilty because I think I could be a much better person if I didn't have to always deal with society hating me.
I am the man who stopped attending church, not because I don't believe, but because they closed their doors to my 'kind.'
I am the person who has to hide what this world needs most, love. I am the person ashamed to tell my own friends I'm a lesbian, because they constantly make fun of them.
I am the boy tied to a fence, beaten to a bloody pulp and left to die because two straight men wanted to "teach me a lesson"
--IF YOU BELIEVE THAT HOMOPHOBIA IS WRONG... REPOST THIS--

If at one time you misspelled or forgot how to spell a word less than four letters...copy and paste this onto your profile.

If you've been on the computer for hours on end, reading numerous fanfictions, copy this onto your profile.

Most writers don't know the difference between 'there', 'their' and 'they're', 'you're and 'your', 'its' and 'it's'. If you do know the difference and would like to throttle people who don't, copy and paste this into your profile.

If you've ever pushed on a door that said pull (or Vice Versa) copy this into your profile

You Know You Live In 2007 and 2008 When...
1) You go to a party, sit down and take MySpace pics.
2) You haven't played solitare with real cards in years.
3) The reason for not staying in touch with friends is that they don't have AIM/ Live Journal/ MySpace.
4) You'd rather look all over the house for the remote instead of just pressing the buttons on the TV.
6) Your evening activity is sitting at the computer.
7)You read this list and keep nodding and smiling.
8) You think about how stupid you are for reading this.
9) You were too busy to notice number five.
10) Now you're actually scrolling up to see what you missed.
11) And now you're laughing at your stupidity.
12) Put this on your profile if you fell for it! You know you did!

98 of teenagers do or has tried smoking pot. If you're one of the 2 percent who hasn't, copy and paste this into your profile.

I am the girl ... that doesn't go to school dances, and when I do go, I sit in a corner and read a book. I am the girl that people look through when I say something. I am the girl that spends most of her free time reading, writing, or doing other activities that most teenagers wouldn't call normal. I am the girl that people call weird, and a freak either behind my back or to my face. I am the girl that doesn't spend all her time on MySpace, or talking to a girlfriend on a cellphone or regular phone. I am the girl that has stopped to smell the flowers and jump and splash in the rain.

But I am also the girl who knows and is proud to be who she is, doesn't care if people call her weird (it's a compliment), who loves reading and writing and doing the things that no one seems to have the time to do any more, who loves and is obsessed with Harry Potter, who can express herself better with words, and knows the importance of the little things.

Copy and Paste this onto your account, if you are anything like me, so the girls who are different and unique can know in their weakest times that they are unique, but not alone.

If you realize that copying and pasting things into your profile is pointless, yet you do it anyways, copy and paste this into your profile

He then said: "Listen sir...when I was born I was BLACK, When I grew up I was BLACK, When I'm sick I'm BLACK, When I go in the sun I'm BLACK, When I'm cold I'm BLACK, When I die I'll be BLACK.
