You may be wondering where all my stories have gone. Or maybe I'm overthinking the extent of my presence on FF. :)
This may seem super strange to you. Maybe even funny, like a joke.
I have come into a new season of life, in which I am deeply moved to devote my entire life to Christ, who died for me. Part of this is not just cutting off "the sin which so easily entangles", but also to "lay aside every encumbrance", as it says in Hebrews 1:1. Anime and writing fanfiction are permissible pleasures, but I have found that the thrill I get from doing these things hinders me from getting closer to God. While it may be okay for you, God has convicted me of these things, and I am cutting them out of my life. If God changes my heart to the extent that someday I can do the things I used to do with no negative spiritual consequence, praise God! If not, so be it, and so praise God! We as people cannot yet fully know, in our flesh and mortality, the worthiness of God to run hard after Him.
If all this is very new to you, here is why I say such bizarre things. The key is in the following verse, Hebrews 1:2 -- "fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."
Jesus died on the cross, primarily because He loved His father, but also that we may have a part in the union of this love. Because He died for us, those who believe may have eternal life. He died for us, even though we are sinful and cannot compare to the perfection and glory of God. And those who repent and turn their hearts toward Him and BELIEVE! may have eternal life, for they will be forgiven of their sins and made righteous in God's eyes -- because of the blood shed on the cross for our sake.
Kind of crazy right? Honestly, though, if you've been my friend on FF and you have questions/comments(/even concerns LOL), just PM me! I am praying for everyone who reads this. May you receive the joy and eternal lovingkindness of the Lord.
1 John 4:10: In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
Romans 5:8: God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
