Leslie Ann K.'s Profile:

Currently working on "Pirates and Other Magical Disasters" and "The Bizarre Life and Times of Robin Goodfellow". Both are about Sisters Grimm!

Also on FictionPress, "Lina Seymour" (in-progress) and "A Perfectly Ordinary Tuesday" (complete) They're under the same pen name of Leslie Ann K. Please check it out!

Hey guys. So let's see . . . what to say, what to say.

Let's start with the list of books I think everyone should read, not necessarily in this order.

1. Demons and Angels by Dan Brown (Because it combines science and religion)

2. Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling (Because we couldn't live without her)

3. Sisters Grimm by Michael Buckley (Because they're just the best books ever!)

4. All books by Rick Riordan (Favorite author. EVER.)

5. Everything by Ally Carter (About a spy? That's a girl? Who goes to this awesome school for OTHER spies? Of course!)

6. Everything by Christopher Paolini (the man's a genius)

7. Artemis Fowl by Eion Colfer (This series is amazing, but don't try to read any of his other books. You'll thank me later)

8. Kate Daniels by Ilona Andrews (This book has AMAZING world-building. Plus, Kate is pretty awesome.)

9. How I Live Now by Meg Rosoff (I think I cried a bizillion times when I read this. Beautiful.)

10. Skulduggery Pleasant (Best fantasy book I've ever read. No joke.)

11. Looking for Alaska by John Green (If you haven't read it, do so. BEST BOOK EVER!)

12. The Fault in Our Stars by John Green (I lied about eleven. Now THIS is the MONSTER OF ALL AMAZING BOOKS!)

Well, that list is getting super long, so I'll stop there. Now, favorite characters.

1. PUCK! I love him to death, and there's no explanation needed as to why. (Sisters Grimm, but then you already knew that.)

2. Sadie Kane. Because who doesn't love a British, sarcastic girl? (Kane Chronicles)

3. Anubis. Because he's awesome. (Kane Chronicles)

4. Arya. She's an elf. Need I say more? (Inheritence Cycle by Christopher Paolini)

5. Will Herondale. We all know Tessa's going to end up with him! (Infernal Devices)

6. Valkyrie Cain. She's magic. Her partner's a skeleton. Of course she's a favorite. (Skulduggery Pleasant)

7. Kate Daniels. She's smart. She's sassy. She knows all the rules for dealing with supernatural creatures, and STILL breaks all of them. Basically, she's my idol. (Kate Daniels)

8. Curran. Just...God. (Kate Daniels)

9. Leo Valdez. I'll admit...I like him more than Percy. Sorry, Perce, but you just don't have the dark, curly hair! :)

There are more, obviously, but that's all I can think of off the top of my head.

Ummm, now about me.

Hair: Brown, a bit longer than shoulder-length, wavy to the extreme though I usually straighten it because otherwise it's a mess.

Eyes: Also brown

Ethnicity: Russian

Favorite Stores: Forever 21, Aeropostle, American Eagle, etc.

Age: Going to turn fourteen next year . . . you do the math!

Fav Food: Chinese food. Americanized Chinese food, yeah. Also Japanese. And sometimes seafood.

Fav Music: The Hush Sound (not well known, though, which I think is crazy), Taylor Swift, Evanscene (like, TWO songs, okay?), Train, Skylar Grey, Avril Lavigne, Demi Lovato (even though she's crazy. But then I guess all the best people are, to some degree), The Cab (YOU WILL LOVE THEM), Daughtry, Mayday Parade, Of Monsters and Men, Adele, P!ink, and GLEE (for some weird, unexplainable reason).

Fav TV shows: Touch, Wipeout, So You Think You Can Dance, GLEE, American Idol, Master Chef, Worst Cooks of America, etc.

Fav Movies: Confessions of a Shopaholic, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, The Proposal, Couples Retreat, Enchanted, How to Train Your Dragon, Tangled (yes, I am VERY rom-commy).

Fav Couples: Sabrina and Puck (no duh!)

Percy and Annabeth

Will and Lyra (their seperation was sooooo sad!)

Will and Tessa (Jem creeps me out)

Peter and Wang-mu (Yeah, ENDER'S BROTHER, he's my favorite for some weird reason)

Cammie and Zach, Leo and Hazel (That's right! Take that, FRANK!)

Valkyrie and Fletcher (I feel like Valkyrie and Skulduggery have more of a father-daughter relationship, honestly. And I can't believe Fletcher got a new girlfriend!)

Tris and Four

America and Maxon

Holly and Artemis (I hate you Eion Colfer)

Max and Fang

Rhett and Scarlett (the original Puck and Sabrina, honestly, even though Scarlett and Rhett don't have a happy ending)

Arya and Eragon (even though they don't have a happy ending EITHER)

Lily and James (Fav Hogwarts couple ever. Seriously. Even though they die...)

Alaska and Miles (even though she dies...)

Hazel and Agustus (even though he dies...)

Cas and Anna (even though she's in hell...)

Kate and Curran (alive and well, last time I checked...)

Interesting Facts about me: Can understand most Russian perfectly. Has many problems with its grammer. Gets seasick very easily. Also carsick. Both have been proven before. Have won two writing contests before . . . and I guess that's about it!

Favorite Quotes:

“Valkyrie patted Fletcher’s arm. “Don’t worry,” she said. “If the bad man comes, I’ll protect you.” “If the bad man comes,” Fletcher responded, “I’ll bravely give out a high-pitched scream to distract him. I may even bravely faint, to give him a false sense of security. That will be your signal to strike.” “We make a great team.” “Just don’t forget to stand in front of me the whole time,” he said.” Derek Landy, Death Bringer

“We punch people, Valkyrie. That’s who we are. Embrace your inner lunatic. Fun times guaranteed.” ― Derek Landy, Death Bringer

“You think Bernadette Maguire killed him?” “Uh… no. She’s, like I said, she’s old.” “Old people can kill people too.” “I know, but…” “She could be a ninja.” “She’s not a ninja, for God’s sake. She’s somebody’s great grandmother.” “I want you to think carefully about this, Kenny. Have you ever seen her with a sword?” “What?” “How about throwing stars?” “This is ridiculous.” “Have you ever seen her dressed up as a ninja? That would have been my first clue.” The girl sucked in her cheeks so she wouldn't laugh out loud.” ― Derek Landy, Death Bringer

“You want to see safe hands?' her dad asked. He went to the fruit bowl on the side of the table, took two apples and proceeded to juggle them. 'See? Safe as anything.' 'Are you proposing you juggle our newborn child?' 'Of course not,' he said. 'I'd only be able to juggle her if you'd had twins. Otherwise it would just be throwing.' (...) 'From this moment on, I will be the best father the world has ever seen. Wifey, may I please hold my child?' Valkyrie's mum looked at him suspiciously. 'When you hold a baby, what's the most important thing to remember?' 'Not to drop it,' he said proudly. 'Well, yes, well done dear, but I was thinking more about how you hold the baby.' 'Ah,' he said, 'Of course. The secret to holding a baby is to pick it up by the scruff of its neck.' 'You're thinking of kittens.' 'Pick it up by the ears, then.' 'You're thinking of nothing.' 'Can I please just hold her?' 'I don't think that's wise.' 'A lot of things aren't wise, Melissa. Is crossing the road with your eyes closed wise? No, but I do it anyway.' His wife nodded. 'Stephanie, you are in charge of teaching Alice how to cross the road.” ― Derek Landy, Death Bringer

“I'm sorry,' said the shopkeeper. 'I can't understand your ridiculous accent.' 'My accent?' 'It is quite silly.' 'So you can't understand me?' 'Not a word.' 'Then how did you understand that?' 'I didn't.' ''You didn't understand what I just said?' 'That's right.' 'You understood that, though.' 'Not at all.' The American glowered.” ― Derek Landy, Death Bringer

“People who claim that they're evil are usually no worse than the rest of us... It's people who claim that they're good, or any way better than the rest of us, that you have to be wary of.” Gregory Maguire, Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West

“I don't get nearly enough credit in life for the things I manage not to say.” Meg Rosoff, How I Live Now

“I was dying, of course, but then we all are. Every day, in perfect increments, I was dying of loss. The only help for my condition, then as now, is that I refused to let go of what I loved. I wrote everything down, at first in choppy fragments; a sentence here, a few words there, it was the most I could handle at the time. Later I wrote more, my grief muffled but not eased by the passage of time. When I go back over my writing now I can barely read it. The happiness is the worst. Some days I can't bring myself to remember. But I will not relinquish a single detail of the past. What remains of my life depends on what happened six years ago. In my brain, in my limbs, in my dreams, it is still happening.” ― Meg Rosoff, How I Live Now

“If we shadows have offended, Think but this, and all is mended, That you have but slumbered here While these visions did appear. And this weak and idle theme, No more yielding but a dream, Gentles, do not reprehend: If you pardon, we will mend: And, as I am an honest Puck, If we have unearned luck Now to 'scape the serpent's tongue, We will make amends ere long; Else the Puck a liar call; So, good night unto you all. Give me your hands, if we be friends, And Robin shall restore amends.” ― William Shakespeare, A Midsummer Night's Dream

“Where I'm from, we believe in all sorts of things that aren't true... we call it history.” ― Gregory Maguire, Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West

“Shall I tell you a story? A new and terrible one? A ghost story? Are you ready? Shall I begin? Once upon a time there were four girls. One was pretty. One was clever. One charming, and one...one was mysterious. But they were all damaged, you see. Something not right about the lot of them. Bad blood. Big dreams. Oh, I left that part out. Sorry, that should have come before. They were all dreamers, these girls. One by one, night after night, the girls came together. And they sinned. Do you know what that sin was? No one? Pippa? Ann? Their sin was that they believed. Believed they could be different. Special. They believed they could change what they were--damaged, unloved. Cast-off things. They would be alive, adored, needed. Necessary. But it wasn't true. This is a ghost story remember? A tragedy. They were misled. Betrayed by their own stupid hopes. Things couldn't be different for them, because they weren't special after all. So life took them, led them, and they went along, you see? They faded before their own eyes, till they were nothing more than living ghosts, haunting each other with what could be. With what can't be. There, now. Isn't that the scariest story you've ever heard?” ― Libba Bray, A Great and Terrible Beauty

When his life was ruined, his family killed, his farm destroyed, Job knelt down on the ground and yelled up to the heavens, "Why god? Why me?" and the thundering voice of God answered, There's just something about you that pisses me off.” ― Stephen King, Storm of the Century: An Original Screenplay

“In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.” ― Douglas Adams, The Restaurant at the End of the Universe

I always wonder about raindrops.

I wonder about how they're always falling down, tripping over their own feet, breaking their legs and forgetting their parachutes as they tumble right out of the sky toward an uncertain end. It's like someone is emptying their pockets over the earth and doesn't seem to care where the contents fall, doesn't seem to care that the raindrops burst when they hit the ground, that they shatter when they fall to the floor, that people curse the days the drops dare to tap on their doors.

I am a raindrop.

Tahereh Mafi, Shatter Me

“Killing time isn't as difficult as it sounds. I can shoot a hundred numbers through the chest and watch them bleed decimal points in the palm of my hand. I can rip the numbers off a clock and watch the hour hand tick tick tick its final tock just before I fall asleep. I can suffocate seconds just by holding my breath. I've been murdering minutes for hours and no one seems to mind.” ― Tahereh Mafi, Shatter Me

"As far as the muggle world goes, they have this thing called the Cold War, or the my-nuclear-weapons-stock-pile-is-bigger-than-yours war. Basically, the United States of America and the U.S.S.R are having a contest to see who can horde more nuclear weapons. There is actually no fighting in this war, just the everyday panic that a bomb is going to come down on your town and blow it up in all its white picket fence glory.

More wankers." - Little Lady, VeniceGroove (fanfiction author)
