Great fan of Manga, Anime, Light Novels and old games (mostly Nintendo and PS1). I'm here for almost 13 years now. I've read a LOT of good, bad, and ugly stories. I've seen some writers succeed, desist, and even suicide.

My one advice for any author: do your own thing. Enjoy the good reviews. Take some advice when present, but mostly ignore the bad ones. Take as challenge the lack of reviews. Do not be afraid of what others will think.
