Pen Name: Addictorator
Description: Love to read (mostly published fantasy novels as well as Naruto, Sword Art Online, Fairy Tail, Highschool DxD, Harry Potter and Percy Jackson fanfics - keyword here being mostly) and a writer (working on several original novels).
Pairing/Shipping Preferences. (It actually depends more on the characterization ability of the author to be honest, since characters could be either close to canon or they could be so OOC they are basically OC in all but name. So this is assuming canon characters) :
Despises NaruSaku (Naruto X Sakura) and Harmony (Harry X Hermione) pairings. Both are too bossy and controlling. Neutral about PJaTO and HP canon protagonist pairings (Percy x Annabeth and Jason X Piper), as well as Harry X Ginny. I have no problem with Ginny, and this pairing may even be likeable, if not for the fact that the story really painted her out to be a fangirl and the relationship seemed really rushed when Harry had barely even talked to her in the previous years or considered her in any context other than Ron's sister or DA member. Loves NaruHina (Naruto X Hinata) and Percalypso (Percy X Calypso). As for the latter, don't ask me why, since I don't know either. Maybe her unconditional care of him even for that short time despite knowing he'd reject and be taken away from her all the same. It left an impression.
Then again, who cares about canon? Every fanfic is AU in its own way. No fanfic author can truly replicate the true personality of the story characters as the actual author originally intended, even if some come commendably close. Hell, that doesn't even make the actual author's intended behavior of the character to be necessarily realistic, because in the end, they're all fictional characters based off a personality an author created to fit their stories, that they simply imagine would react a certain way given a certain situation, or rather simply made to fit a narrative and further the plot of the story. We've all seen discrepancies when even published authors describe their characters from time to time. After all, humans are flawed, and mere fictional personas borne from the mind of said creatures, more so.
Likes well written stories including slash/femslash or pwp.
Advocates putting an MA Rating on this site, and allowing explicit lemon and gore. Simply for freedom of speech, and since there's a community that enjoys it. There's no reason not to put it, since we all know stories with explicit lemons/gore run rampant in the M rating and are here to stay anyway, so allowing the authors to separate them into a separate category will be better all around. As for issues with children reading it, trust me, fanfiction will not be what will corrupt their little minds when they have the vastness of the internet and the ability to lie about their age on certain websites, at their fingertips.
Check out ARedHair's profile over here, if you want to see why many believe Dumbledore was a manipulative evil/misguided old coot (and other Harry Potter plot holes that gave way to several fandom clichés). Yeah, I think Dumbledore is somewhat manipulative and controlling, even if in the 'best interests of everyone'.
Also, I believe maneyan explains how to write a good fanfic, if you're interested in improving your writing skills, far more eloquently than I could. Not to mention why reinvent the wheel?
