I'm a lifelong fan of science fiction, fantasy, and urban fantasy. Often, the shows, books, or movies just aren't enough, and that's where the fanfic comes in. The creativity and passion of fans has always amazed me, even back when there were only fanzines that came out every 6 months and the internet was not even dreamed of. The creative force that fans unleash now just boggles. It's what Tolkien called "subcreation." Or maybe in the case of fanfic, "sub-subcreation" Whatever. I love it.
Anyway, I've been absent awhile - with Real Life too busy and all consuming, but have recently been bitten by the "Supernatural" bug (8 years late), and so just had to return to this lovely alternate reality.
Favorite fandoms besides "Supernatural"? Lord of the Rings, Battlestar Galactica, Firefly/Serenity, Star Trek, Dr. Who, Game of Thrones, X-Files, Fringe, etc.
