Jamelia first became obsessed with Star Trek when the original series premiered in NBC, which dates her dreadfully. While she has followed all of the Star Trek series and films over the years, her favorite has been Star Trek: Voyager. There is something about those characters, and the situation they've found themselves in, that inspires her imagination. Beginning in 1997, she started writing fan fiction. Initially an author of Paris/Torres stories, she has since written about many other members of Voyager's crew, as well as characters from ST:TNG, ST:DS9, and ST:Enterprise, with references to a few who appeared in the original series.
Jamelia participated in a major project, Voyager Virtual Season 7.5, which chronicles an AU "return" to the Alpha Quadrant for Voyager, and what happened afterwards, which varies considerably from the series finale, "Endgame." For several years, Jamelia had a website called "Meandering with Jamelia through the Delta Quadrant," which she lost when AOL dropped web hosting. As nice as a trip down memory lane is, a living site is a beautiful thing. Hopefully, old friends and new may want to meander through the Delta Quadrant with Jamelia once again. A few side trips to Bajor and the earliest days of Starfleet can be found here. Eventually, other favorite destinations may be featured in stories, including Diagon Alley, Middle Earth, or even JaneAustenLand. (Actually she's a little surprised she has yet to travel in any of those places. Oh, well. Someday, perhaps.)
