Just a late-twenty-something British geek who writes too much. Professional interest in Archaeology, Hobbies include TV tropes, DnD (3.5), writing bespoke warhammer fantasy campaigns, and the inevitable fanfic.
Originally a Redwall and Harry Potter fanboy thought the 2000's, also a fan of comics, particularly Neil Gaiman, Warren Ellis, Alan Moore, Bryan Talbot, and Garth Ennis, as well as Vertigo and the weirder elements of the Marvel universe.
Also a fan of pulp sci-fi, steampunk, well research hard sci-fi, bad horror movies, and webcomics: Ursula Vernon’s Digger being possibly the best writer comic in any format for several years in my opinion, although Freefall, Jack and Girl Genius come close.
Also a fan of animation, particular tradition cell shading, 90’s Disney, Adventure Time, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and the other usual geek staples.
Usual geek TV and movie interests, particularly fond of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Reads far too much, largely fantasy books and teen fiction I really should have grown out of my now. Still foolishly maintains that Watership Down was one of the most influential books of the 20th century and without it the teen fiction genre as we know it wouldn’t exist. Also a fan of Tolkien, Terry Pratchett, Philip K. Dick, George RR Martin, Ben Aaronovitch, William Horwood, Joe Abercrombie, K.A. Applegate, Phillip Pullman, Robin Jarvis, Steven King, Harry Turtledove, and Kathryn Lasky.
I Pick up fandoms too quickly for my own good, and write more that I publish.
