Hmm.. what to say...

Well I'm old enough to wonder at being alive so long, yet young enough to still be in school. For a little bit longer anyway. Now is not the time to look for a job, hmm?

I'm a guy (does it matter? .. and did the age matter either, really?)

Psych is my field, not writing (unfortunately). I get a little too description-driven and dragged down planning plot to actually get more than 10,000 words on anything and I'm not much of a fan of one-shots. So while I may publish something eventually.. don't expect anything soon. .. unless I ever manage to get the experimental first chapter of a Naruto fic working. There are something like 4 or 5 of those though, and I have a year of high-level classes, working in a lab, and playing D&D and Deadlands (yeah, yeah go ahead and laugh - if you're reading this on fanfiction, you have no place to criticize my fun) so don't expect anything soon, or quick continuations of anything that does show up.

Why am I writing this if I'm publishing nothing? Boredom and very early morning tiredness I guess. Plus I love leaving drabbles in places people never care to read. -shrugs- I always kinda hope someone will read and say something, but noone has yet. Then again I'm a bit lazy and never check my e-mails, so if anyone ever does answer I'm gonna feel like an ass when I get their message some month later or something.

.. Anyway, I enjoy quality writing in the moderate to epic length variety, so feel free to peruse my favorites if you come this far. It's always a source of good stories for me when I run across a good writer - no reason I can't do the same if anyone ever reads this. .. Though the some-teen favorites I've got are way fewer than I've read. I'd probably rate around 1 out of 20 fanfictions I read worthy of the favorites, and I should have near a hundred favorites if I bothered to log in more... so... that should tell you something hmm? I just wish it was a little less of a pathetic something. Then again I've been around for ing ever and I have more time than I'd like, so... whatever.

Anyway, I'm tired, so enjoy life wherever you are, dear profile-reader and have fun reading whatever it is you're reading. If it's really good, drop me a line saying so, hmm? I always enjoy a good story.

(hopefully it won't be 3 years before I log in again this time. then again... who can tell?)

Getting on more and filling up the favs. Perhaps a little too fast.

Muhah! Give me some 8 months or so of actually using the favorites on this site, and I give you .. Jesus christ!! O.O Sorry for those of you religious people, but dear God, I've added something like 450 stories (most I'd rate a 7.5 or higher out of 10) in less than a year. (I can't see the number listing when I'm logged in) ... maybe I've been reading a little /too/ much? Meh, even with grad classes I can't stop the addiction! As long as I don't flunk out or loose my TA-ship. .

Note to young writers: Simply being able to write a lot doesn't mean that you should.

To be honest, I'm kind of sick of sifting through stories with the grammar and spelling of a middle-schooler. Homophones (i.e. words that sound the same, but have different spellings and meanings) especially. Do, Due. They're, Their, There. Hole, Whole. Write, Right, Rite. Vile, Vial. Seriously, if you aren't sure, look it up! It's quite honestly a combination travesty/tragedy in my eyes, especially when someone who can't for the life of them use even vaguely correct grammar and spelling actually has a decent idea or plot. The only excuse for bad spelling or grammar is if someone's primary language is other than what the story is written in, and even then they'll likely pick up a beta or learn as they go.

Sigh* Enough ranting. Considering my complaints in posts and to myself, I just felt the need to contribute to greater literate awareness. Assuming anyone reads this, anyway.

Still have many ideas for fics. I'm actually doing better with recent ones because I'm not being ridiculously ambitious. Might have a much too short (imo) oneshot out eventually. Need to give it a week or two and then reread it, proof it, make sure it isn't crap, etc. It was prompted by the reoccurrance of a thought I've had before about Naruto and Minato. The longer idea I have is about RV and maybe playing around with some of the concepts in it. It'll probably be months before I even put out a feeler on that one though. I've actually done research on mythology for that one, which was surprisingly interesting to me. Thus the likelihood that /something/, at least, might actually show up.
