I spend a third of my life without sunshine, in a cubicle, oppressed by 7' ceilings and overwhelmed by wiring harness schematics. And, I consider that a reprieve from housework and parenting. Writing is my sanity's last line of defense.
Nah, I'm just kidding... I'm really a superhero just posing as a numb-to-life CAD jockey. I'm a svelte size 4. I wear a white tube top and my underwear on the outside of ludicrously skinny jeans. I have a Long John Silver's cardboard hat that I spray-painted white and a cape made out of two body pillow cases, taped together with shiny duct tape. I AM IVORY BANGLE!!
I write fan fiction to get better at writing so I can hopefully work on my own book. If you really do enjoy my writing, please let me know what I'm doing right. If there's something I can improve on, I want to know that too.
UPDATE 26DEC14: I'm afraid my 5 month hiatus is turning into a semi-permanent retirement from Transformers. At the risk of sounding conceited, I felt like I put a lot of heart into the work I've done, and there just isn't enough of a 'market' in this fandom for the particular flavor of story I feel comfortable writing. And, not many stories from other writers with the same tastes to draw inspiration from for that matter. Nothing against those with different tastes, of course. Write what you're passionate about. That's what we're here for.
A contributing factor (and probably the last straw for me) was finding generous sections of some of my Arcee/Wheeljack stuff very thinly 'paraphrased' on another site. It's made me hesitant to publish new material. I won't point fingers. After all, we're all here because we loved someone else's work so much we had to make it our own. And besides, no one's a 'good' writer until they're written something worth plagiarizing. So, I guess ... thanks?
UPDATE 04MAY19: Got brave and posted on AO3!
