Currently spending fanfiction writing time on "Vividness" -- got a 40-50 hour per week job now and just finished a move (still unpacking) and my writing time is limited. On fanfics: people will like what they like, and I hope you like my stories if you read them. If you want improve your own writing, start with Bickham's book from below.
Best writing book for ffnet authors: "The 38 Most Common Fiction Writing Mistakes and How to Avoid Them" by Jack M. Bickham
Best writing book for more advanced authors: "Techniques of the Selling Writer" by Dwight V. Swain
Favorite real authors: Jim Butcher (fantasy conflicts), Terry Pratchett (fantasy humor), Greg Egan (science fiction), Richard Feynman (science), Elaine Supkis (blog, current events analysis, "Culture of Life News"), and Dr. Lawrence J. Peter (structures).
Favorite books: "The Dosadi Experiment" by Frank Herbert, "Gravity Dreams" by L.E. Mordesitt Jr. is a close second, with "Naked Empire" by Terry Goodkind in third
Additional stories I enjoy are inside my slash-free C2 "Write More". One in twenty stories I read makes the cut. I do delete fics for reduced writing quality in later chapters.
"Right Moments" is recommended on TVtropes.

I do not mention reviews in my stories, I want to write a good story, not a blog. Yet I am eternally grateful for feedback, so do please review even if I do not respond to you directly. I read every review. Thanks for taking the time to read this profile.
