Hi all!

A brief intro:
I'm a die-hard fan of pretty much all things fiction. (There. That's brief right?)

Haha. Just kidding. But it is true. Someone once very aptly said, "I love books. I love the moment when you open one and sink into it you can escape from the world, onto a story that's way more interesting than yours will ever be." (For the record, that someone is Elizabeth Scott. Kudos to her for the finding the right words to describe that wonderful feeling, I say.) This quote pretty much defines me.
I love reading (I think that's obvious by now) and am a stickler for details. I tend to get annoyed if a story gets way too OOC... a little bit I can handle (since only the original creators of the characters can decide exactly what/ how much would be IC) but too much irritates me... But I still read the story through to the end if I find the plot engaging enough.

How I ended up here:
I stumbled across this site when I was looking for temporary "relief" when I couldn't bear waiting for the next update (episode/ chapter/ installment) to the anime/ manga/ book that I was reading at the time (or when I just couldn't get that particular story out of my head). I've been hooked ever since.

Quotes that strike a chord with me:

-- "Fiction reveals truths that reality obscures." (This one's my favorite :D )

-- "Books are my friends, my companions. They make me laugh & cry & find meaning in life." -- Christopher Paolini

-- "Just the knowledge that a good book is awaiting one at the end of a long day makes that day happier." -- Kathleen Norris

-- "She reads books as one would breathe air, to fill up and live." -- Annie Dillard

-- "Picking five favorite books is like picking the five body parts you would most like not to lose." -- Neil Gaiman

-- "If a book is well written, I always find it too short." -- Jane Austen (This happens to me a lot!)

-- "The book is a film that takes place in the mind of the reader. That's why we go to the movies and say, "Oh, the book is better." " --Paulo Coelho

Anyway, enough about me...

Happy reading Everyone!!
