Stopping By Woods On A Snowy Evening
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

That poem is by Robert Frost, and I like it even though I don't know why. I first read it in a book called LOVE THAT DOG, and it's a really good, fast, read, even though it's sad. (I like blue ink.)
Stuff
I HATE shonen-ai. I have nothing against gay people, hell, I'm all for letting them get married. I just don't like to read about my favorite guys being gay.

Too many to count...
I'm afraid to write a fanfic, because I can't write. At all. Period.
Lately I've begun to think that OC's are the spawn of satan. They are often characters based upon the author and his/her friends, and all they do to change them is add some fox ears and a katana. I read this fic and it was listing the OC's abilities, and it was all like "telepathic, able to control fire, ice, earth, and air, impossibly strong, expert swordswoman, able to morph into any animal, blah blah blah etc. etc..." and I think that when you make a character like that you destroy the meaning of the story. The main characters in a manga/anime are obviously meant to be the strongest. (We don't like to think that because the hero has to have some reasonably impossible roadblock to overcome, but honestly, where do you see a weak main character who can't beat the villain?) When you make an OC with a billion different abilities, it's simply being self-indulgent. Readers want to read fics that stay as close to the story as possible. Would you like a Naruto story that has Naruto, Sasuke, and Kakashi being beaten by a fourteen year old girl with a severe emo/superiority complex? I understand that the authors want to insert themselves into the story, but it so RARELY turns out to be good. The reason is because the author of the REAL series created the characters of their stories to interact with each other and didn't intend them to interact with all-powerful snobby little fourteen year old girls. So PLEASE don't put them in your stories.
