1 Idea Captioning for the Thinking Impaired Just an idea that came to me for one of the fake commercials/TV shows that are interspersed throughout the 1987 movie "Robocop". Maybe sometimes we don't need as much help as it seems. I don't own the characters from the movie, shares in OCP, or live in Detroit.
Robocop, K, English, Humor, words: 1k+, 5/8
4 Fishing for Answers The days of Warehouse 13 are numbered, but that's no reason to avoid having a little recreation when time permits. Takes place after the series finale of the show now that I've finished watching it. I don't own these characters or a jar of tartar sauce.
Warehouse 13, K, English, Humor, words: 3k+, 5/1
1 Is it That Bad? Jewel of a Family - North First in a series of stories based on films panned by many critics/viewers. In the 1994 movie "North", the titular character travels the world in search of better parents than he already has. This epilogue pushes the story a little further. I don't own the characters or an Easter bunny suit.
Misc. Movies, K, English, Humor, words: 2k+, 4/24
1 Earthlight For Earth Day, 2021. Dr. Heywood Floyd is no stranger to the moon, but he is presented with a mystery courtesy of someone else who works there. I don't own the characters from the movie, and I (thankfully) haven't tried to use a zero-G toilet.
2001: A Space Odyssey, K, English, words: 4k+, 4/21
1 Much Too Long 1967 Movieverse. J. Pierrepont Finch went from window washer to CEO in two weeks, by far a record for World Wide Widgets. But most of the gang back at Acme Window Washing are a competitive bunch and think they can beat his time with a different strategy. We'll see. I don't own the characters of the movie or a scaffold.
How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, K, English, words: 6k+, 4/17
2 Overcoming - One Mutation at a Time A conclusion to the slightly/moderately/VERY strange 1969 film "The Bed Sitting Room". There may have been a nuclear apocalypse in England, but that's no reason why one shouldn't just get on with life. I don't own these characters, and I don't drop the f-bomb much less an a-bomb.
Misc. Movies, K, English, Humor, words: 2k+, favs: 1, follows: 1, 4/10
2 Credit where Credit is Due Dennis Meechum was a cop who was also an author in the 1987 film "Best Seller", where he was contacted by the professional assassin Cleveland Morris to tell his life story. The events of that movie still reverberate in his life for years to come. I don't own these characters, and the only badge I've carried is a merit badge.
Misc. Movies, K, English, words: 2k+, 4/7
2 Catch the One-Five from Cambridge A follow-up to the classic 1955 British comedy "The Ladykillers". Peter Sellers, Alec Guinness, Herbert Lom, Danny Green and Cecil Parker were all out-lived by Mrs. Louisa Wilberforce in that caper gone wrong. There's still a pile of money out there for the taking to the right thief. I don't own the film's characters or a cello case. Happy countdown day (4/3/21).
Misc. Movies, K, English, Humor, words: 4k+, 4/3
1 Touched Eliot Ness, Jimmy Malone, George Stone and Oscar Wallace teamed together as Federal agents to bring down Al Capone in the 1987 film "The Untouchables". Their raid on the US/Canadian border shipment brought the fight to the crime boss and confidence in themselves. I don't own the characters from the film or bootleg whiskey.
Untouchables, K, English, words: 2k+, 3/31
1 Need for Speed Turning its nose up at national speed limits and everything regulatory about automobiles, the 1976 movie "Gumball Rally" was a comedy that equated freedom with miles per hour. This snapshot takes place immediately after the end of movie. I don't own a performance car, but I remember the first time I hit 100. And the second...
Gumball Rally, K, English, words: 1k+, 3/27
1 Peace is Where you Find It A story that immediately follows the events of S04 E01 "A New Hope". A lighter look at two of the darker characters in the TV show "Warehouse 13". I don't own these characters, and as far as I know I haven't even died once yet.
Warehouse 13, K, English, Spiritual, words: 1k+, 3/24
1 Tour de Medical Center Super Dave Osborne, the world's greatest stuntman (by reputation, since none of his stunts ever seem to go right) takes time out of his show to showcase safety and health. Can anything go wrong? Of course it can. Based on the comedy TV skit that played over many different shows and its own series. I don't own these characters or a crash helmet.
Misc. Tv Shows, K, English, Humor, words: 2k+, 3/20
1 Quebec This Aren't Okay, I don't think I've posted a St. Patrick's Day story before, so here's a one-shot. Declan and Anna drove off newly married at the end of the 2010 film "Leap Year", but there might have been one loose end we have to attend to. I don't own these characters, and I'm not a big fan of corned beef and cabbage.
Leap Year, K, English, Humor, words: 3k+, favs: 1, 3/17
3 Isabelle's Three Angels A short sequel to the delightful 1955 movie "We're No Angels". Joseph, Albert and Jules returned to Devil's Island at the end of the film, realizing life back in prison was a lot less stressful than real life. A rare piece of mail makes them reconsider. I don't own these characters, but do they serve Devil's food cake on Devil's Island?
Misc. Movies, K, English, Humor, words: 2k+, favs: 1, 3/13
3 Present Company Excluded What, no stories for the 1988 movie "Bull Durham"? Let's do something about that! Two minor characters, Jimmy and Millie, get married during the movie - and at one point, the players are stumped at what to get them for a wedding present. This is an imagined source of their eventual solution. I don't own the movie characters and gave away my baseball glove.
Misc. Movies, K+, English, words: 1k+, 3/10
2 Grounded The main character in the 1964 film "633 Squadron" crashes at the end of the movie. Is he alive or dead? (This would only be a drabble if he died, so there.) Does not contain any of the great instrumental music from the movie. I don't own these characters and I like Mosquitos but not mosquitos.
Misc. Movies, K, English, words: 2k+, 3/6
3 Recruitment Drive Movieverse from the 1994 film. You can't fight all of evil by yourself. Sometimes you need a partner. Sometimes you need an organization. But someone has to start off being the first one brought into the circle. I don't own these characters or a secret communicator ring.
Shadow, K, English, words: 2k+, favs: 1, 3/3
1 Inaction Hero John Kimble was a cop from the LAPD assigned to track down a witness in Astoria, Oregon in the 1990 movie "Kindergarten Cop". At the end he got the bad guy and finished the assignment. But he also found something he wasn't looking for - now what does he do with it? I don't own these characters and it seems like a century since I've been in a Kindergarten classroom.
Kindergarten Cop, K, English, words: 2k+, 2/27
2 Size Isn't Everything You never know who you'll meet walking through the countryside late at night, as John-Boy finds out. I don't own the characters of the show or a pair of overalls.
Waltons, K, English, words: 2k+, favs: 1, 2/24
2 Moron That Later A parody based on the 1954 film treatment of Daniel Defoe's "Robinson Crusoe". Loneliness and isolation can make you a little crazy when it takes you away from your everyday connections - could it happen in modern times? I don't own the characters from the book, but I have been on an island.
Misc. Books, K, English, words: 2k+, 2/20
