Hello, hello, hello. This is Zoey24 here but I also go by Jade. I've been an avid fan of this site ever since I accidently discovered it 5 or so years ago. I honestly love the authors that have taken it upon themselves to delve deeper into their favorite fandoms and create such wonderful stories. I can admit to myself, I'm not a writer, I'm a reader so I always admire those who are able to create their own worlds with these burrowed characters and universes.
When I'm not spending countless hours reading and reviewing the amazing stories here, I also double as a 20-something year old college student trying to pick a field in psychology/social work with an endless pile of loans growing before my eyes.
Due to the recent actions that Fanfiction.net has decided to take, I've decided to be safe and reach out to the other fanfic site. So I've created my own Tumblr (Jade240), The Writer's Coffee Shop (also Jade240), (Zoey24) and LiveJournal (Jade240).
Wow, now that I look back on all the things that I've put on my profile, it's funny remembering the times when I would spend hours upon hours reading fanfics about the television programs and books that I now consider childish. I really don't have the heart to delete anything that I put up as a teenager in my profile and shall always view FanFiction.Net as part of my childhood.

A Salute to High School Musical:
On January 20th, 2006, a movie came out. It wasn't just any Disney movie but High School Musical. on top of having a cast of fresh, talented, (and hot) stars, it had a decent message and songs that were contagious. The movie was in fact so big, it went world wide, topped the charts, won awards, and even had teachers singing the songs. It touched the hearts and souls of countless people around the world and racked in tons of money for Disney in the form of two DVDs, a soundtrack, posters, shirts, bags, and not to mention more pubclicity. High School Musical... some may say it's childish to like a Disney movie so much, but i think not. I'm proud to say i loved the movie, and would like to say Happy Three Year Anniversary HSM. Her name was Aurora
She was only five
This is what happened
When she was alive
Her dad was a drunk
Her mom was an addict
Her parents kept her
Locked in an attic
Her only friend
was a little toy bear
It was old and worn out
And had patches of hair
She always talked to it
When no one's around
She lays there and hugs it
Not a peep of sound
Until her parents
unlock the door
Some more and more pain

A bruise on her leg

The mom walked out
Leaving the girl slowly dying
She grabbed her bear
And again started crying
Police showed up
At the small little house
They quickly barged in
Everything was as quiet as a mouse
One officer slowly
Opened a door
To find the sad little girl
Lying on the floor
It must have been bad
To go through so much harm
But at least she died
With her best friend in her arms

Once on a yellow piece of paper with green lines
he wrote a poem
And he called it "Chops"
because that was the name of his dog
And that's what it was all about
And his teacher gave him an A
and a gold star
And his mother hung it on the kitchen door
and read it to his aunts
That was the year Father Tracy
took all the kids to the zoo
And he let them sing on the bus
And his little sister was born
with tiny toenails and no hair
And his mother and father kissed a lot
And the girl around the corner sent him a
Valentine signed with a row of X's
and he had to ask his father what the X's meant
And his father always tucked him in bed at night
And was always there to do it
Once on a piece of white paper with blue lines
he wrote a poem
And he called it "Autumn"
because that was the name of the season
And that's what it was all about
And his teacher gave him an A
and asked him to write more clearly
And his mother never hung it on the kitchen door
because of its new paint
And the kids told him
that Father Tracy smoked cigars
And left butts on the pews
And sometimes they would burn holes
That was the year his sister got glasses
with thick lenses and black frames
And the girl around the corner laughed
when he asked her to go see Santa Clause
And the kids told him why
his mother and father kissed a lot
And his father never tucked him in bed at night
And his father got mad
when he cried for him to do it.
Once on a paper torn from his notebook
he wrote a poem
And he called it "Innocence: A Question"
because that was the question about his girl
And that's what it was all about
And his professor gave him an A
and a strange steady look
And his mother never hung it on the kitchen door
because he never showed her
That was the year that Father Tracy died
of the Apostle's Creed went
And he caught his sister
making out on the back porch
And his mother and father never kissed
or even talked
And the girl around the corner
wore too much makeup
That made him cough when he kissed her
but he kissed her anyway
because that was the thing to do
And at three A.M. he tucked himself into bed
his father snoring soundly
That's why on the back of a brown paper bag
he tried another poem
And he called it "Absolutely Nothing"
Because that's what it was really all about
And he gave himself an A
and a slash on each damned wrist
And he hung it on the bathroom door
because this time he didn't think
he could reach the kitchen.
