I am Endevorer, I've... been around the block on and off on . I used to have alot more stories, but I deleted them because I realize how terrible they were with both really lazy writing. Hopefully, I do better than I did those ages ago.
Since then, I've taken a writing a bit more seriously, having done steps to make it easier to keep track and stay focused while writing.
Currently, I am working on making the a How to Train Your Dragon fanfic, called Becoming the Enemy.
The Genre for Becoming the Enemy is not really something that can be easily defined, mostly because of how... well, convoluted and complicated it is. Friendship is the only real defining and standing theme. But it also adds Humor, adventure, and other things
I chose the title for the simple purpose that as a TF-Centric fic that takes place during the movie, the Viking and dragon war is still going hot. So once people start changing what species they are, they literally become the enemy. Within this fic, I explore and undermine several assumptions we make within the fandom, especially within the Transformation side of things.
Specifically:
1. Hiccup turns into a dragon because Toothless decided to make him into one. In Becoming the Enemy, Hiccup inadvertantly becomes one as a result of choices he chose to make.
2. Toothless becoming human. This is stated in the summary, so it's not a spoiler, though I will clarify it here if it was not understood there. We never actually see many fics where Toothless is forced to become human. And really, the fandom suffers much for never really bother to think about that. Imagine if you for a moment a recently turned human Toothless trying to understand the concept of bread. He normally eats only fish, meat. Now try to see his reaction when he learns previously inedible substances become food to him.
3. The Red Death forces its will upon other dragons. We do not really know too much about it and I have not seen many people deviate from the mindcontrol domination assumption. As a result of trying to break the mold, I made dragons in the fic more willing to colaborate with the giant megadragon. None of them are forced to serve it, they serve it because it is powerful and offers some of that power in return for loyalty.
There's also the matter of a few mysteries set up in the fic. Which will get answered when the time for them to be answered comes.
For starters, who writes a book in 3 seperate languages full of dragon related subjects both mundane and arcane?]
